What? I’ve been playing for almost 2.5k hours mixed PVP and PVE and you’re telling me there is no challenge?
Do you not play enough OPR to know who is a genuinely good PVP player/s? I’ve played alot and I know in my server who is really good and who isn’t. I always challenge those good players whether I lose or win just so I can play better.
Even when I beat them I challenge, I go the extra mile and fight 2v1s to improve my PVP capabilities. There is always a challenge, it’s just up to you if you wanna take up on it or not.
However I do agree that there needs to be more game modes for PVP as OPR is getting stale and Arenas are unbalanced. The need for new game modes is just as important as player balancing and weapon balancing. They need to separate solo q’s and group q’s, as well as adding ranks to sort out players so they will be matched against someone of the same skill, an SBMM needs to be in place.
I never played a war so far, i did 2 invasions and i play mostly pve. 3 or 4 weeks ago i started to do mutations and opr(again) and 3vs3. im not good at pvp and i know it.not the best and not the worst, but no genius. Im ok at pve but, equal to pvp, not a genius.
I did some arenas and opr when the patch was announced and u need the opr and arena gyps for the heartrune. But do u know whats the difference for me between muta, opr and arena?
opr is funny sometimes.there are matches which are totaly boring and others are really balenced and exciting until the end. im totaly ok with this mode. and now here is the difference.
i played some arena, and after 1 week i stoped, because some “mates” just tell me that im garbage. that might be true, but i did the best i can do, as a healer with rapier, and i didnt know what i did wrong. still dont know…but i got flamed not often but sometimes and that stoped me for queing because i dont want to get hate every now and then.
and then the other example. i did some weeks ago my first m10 tempest heard run.i think its a diffucult dungeon and i did it with a random Group. we did ok until neishu…we died like 5-6 times.but ,NOONE complained…they said things like damn, better lets try this or that and at 6/7try we did it. we died once to isabella and then endet up with bronze after over 90 minute of playing it.but it Was a great experience. from that moment on i build several m10 Sets for some classes and having fun doing them. This week did my first m10 dynastie runs with some silver and gold medalls. not a single random group was upset if we only did silver.
For me,thats the big difference why i like pve more than pvp.
I’m not sure if this was intended as a brag or not but if you’ve been playing a year with 0 breaks, how do you not have multiple armor and weapon sets of 625 like most of the rest of the server?
Just seems odd is all. No insult intended regardless. It’s just confusing.
Not to be rude or anything. But i did say my “Avg expertise” you do know - you can have every armor piece and several weapons at 625 but your overall total avg expertise will not be 625 right?
I feel like this is a common misconception within this post.
After like… 4 months? Of not doing any dungeon I joined a pub M5 and man, do they still suck ass.
Regardless of having to link my entire gear, weapons, consumables and my entire job resume, the people in there are more toxic than the worst PvP sweaties.
They died with the Dyna lions, alt-f4’d and left me alone with the tank.
The healer walked out, I mined the oris, walked out and kept doing OPRs.
I have around 2,000 some odd hours played. Most of which is OPR/crafting/market trading. I recently gave away goldcap as I don’t plan to continue beyond the update.
I ran laz once in the first month of the game when drops were shit and expertise was a hidden variable. Aside from that I only ever did Amrine and Depths. I literally never finished my main story quest and never did Dynasty. I’ve never seen the inside of Genesis. I have never done any mutation, and broadly speaking, I think instanced group content is antithetical to the concept of virtual worlds and the MMOs of yesteryear that attract me to the genre.
I may play fresh start just to make money in case they ever decide to reverse course on making dungeon content mandatory for progression, but it’s just not for me.
Average gearscore after 2,000 hours: 615ish. Highest GS weapon: 622 or 623 I forget. I upgrade lots of pieces to 618 or so but getting them above 620 is tough if you refuse instanced PVE content on principle.
