What have you done to what was an enjoyable game? This is absurd, the game is simply not enjoyable to play anymore as you (AMZ), have made it so difficult it is borderline impossible. It is not fun anymore and many missions simply cannot be completed. Why on earth would you ruin a good game by doing something like this? Did you test it yourselves? Have you actually sat there for twenty minutes mindlessly hacking away at an end boss? Many of the expeditions cannot be completed now. I don’t know why it was decided to make this awful change to the game but you have truly ruined what was an enjoyable game and made it unrealistic and unrewarding to play.
I am sure and know I am in a majority with regard to this issue and am certain you have been inundated by disappointed players. *big sigh!
I see the forums are full of players that have finally had enough. I can’t blame them, people are obviously leaving the game due to its poor playability and low reward system that has been introduced. I can’t imagine why such a ridiculous move was made to literally make the game unplayable anymore. It seems a particularly bad business model to offend your client base by introducing such a ridiculous change to the game as has been done. I honestly feel as if NW is in self-destruct mode.
It does appear to be have been an off-the-cuff decision by someone that has been implemented nonchalantly and with no testing to evaluate the effect. I simply cannot play anymore, I have hit a buffer of impossibility that I have never encountered before in any other game. It has been made so difficult it is literally no fun anymore.
Gotta love level 66 Thorpes (no idea what they’re called, the big flaming sword users) in Myrkgard with Armored and Brutal. Millions of Health and they do 14k with one attack. Yep, balance. /s
I was just In Dynasty with 5 level 60 players and we could only get the end boss down to half health before she wiped us out with one of her mega kill moves. It really is ridiculous. Leading up to that the level seemed ok and was well balanced but then oh my god! I am so disappointed and to be honest quite angry that a game I really enjoy playing has been ruined.
I don’t think they even knew what was in the release.
The dev blog says ‘some changes were made in a branch months ago just after release, which we forgot about’
This is truly insane.
They’ve had a number of minor releases and bug fixes since so what happened is one team had been working on the 1.1 patch branch since launch, doing tons of changes and weird things like moving fountains in towns as this was the bigger ‘content update’ they were left to it.
The other teams and the testers were focused on the hotfix patches like 1.01-5
So testers never fully tested 1.1, as by the time they got there everyone had lost track of a lot of what was in the build. Which is clear by the missing patch notes.
They merged the 1.1 branch into the upstream hotfix branches and put it on PTR so we could do their job for them but players are crappy testers and just want to play with new toys.
There are evidently some very bad practices that seem to be ongoing with the game developers. Who knows why or what is going on but it does seem to be falling apart. I never experienced a game that had bug fixes introducing more bugs than solving. It all seems very strange. On top of that, these changes regarding the super mobs are really frustrating. I really feel for the players out there who have enjoyed the game as I have and now have had their experience ruined by such a bizarre introduction of difficulty, it is mind-boggling!
