Hello. I’ve been new to the game since yesterday and I’m level 14 right now. I have the problem that there are so many quests (faction, settlement, etc.) that are far above my level and are spread all over the world. I don’t even know what the main quest is. and what quests should I do. I’m also in areas that are above my level and there are always 2-3 mobs at once killing me. and I always have to walk far away for quests. is this normal?
translated with google, because my english is bad.
The main quest wont give you the necessary XP to get to 60. It will help you progress and explore through other maps nevertheless.
A suggestion is ( it is the best way) go do townboard quests. They give a decent chunk encourage farming which is fun and so on.
EDIT: If you like a slower Lvling experience might do a bit of farming a bit of crafting a bit of quests a bit of townboard quests.
I leveled my second character like that and its quite enjoyable if you dont want to hurry to 60 ofc.
You’re better of doing the townboard missions, they are boring AF, but it has nice XP.
Though, I heard they added a lot of new quests, so maybe my info is outdated.
Main quest it’s very poor. Soon you will run out of quests and if gets boring. I was levelling a second character and did all side quests + main town board and faction missions. Always do 3 daily faction ones. The many quests are not that many actually and will disappear so do them all and enjoy the beautiful world around you while it lasts. There’s no rush
thank you all for your help! I am very happy about your answers. But I’ve noticed that if you accept the faction and townboard quests and then give them up, they go away. do i have to wait until the next day for the reset or when are there new quests?
as hristov says. Townboard quests get reset I think every 20 minutes and you can get those at different towns so you can powerlevel from town to town and on your way there you can gather needed materials
Main quest has an starhalo over it.
Those quest leading you to dungeons at the end of each zone questline, but also to upgrade your azoth staff and give you azoth for tp all over the world and crafting.
You can do side quest just for the exp and gold reward, which you will need at end game with taxes, crafting etc.
Just wait OP, soon your map will be unreadable, filled with available quests markers and no way to turn them off.
Have fun trying to click around/past/through them when you want to fast travel to a settlement. A sea of yellow icons you don’t want to read. For some reason the icons take priority when hovering your mouse instead of the settlement???
