Why does AGS continue to allow players to use this scum bag mod company . This mod now takes your location and displays it on their own web map. Anyone using this MOD overlay should be banned out right for cheating. If a FPS dev came out and said, “Most of our players are using Aim-Bot, so we are not going to to anything about it.” That would destroy the game, yet here is AGS allowing players to download MOD overlays so they have better awareness of their surrounding terrain, and knowledge of every node around them, now that it pulls their location from the game to display on Overwolfs map.

Considering the current owners of Overwolf bought it from Amazon I don’t think banning the platform from their most popular game would be a good business decision, nor do I know how they’d really enforce that ban of said software against players who use git to release new copies on a consistent basis that cannot just be added to EAC’s blacklist.

Perfectly fine to do so. Its the third party application that is cheating. Having awareness of all terrain around you, gives you an advantage in PvP. As for PvE, those few seconds it takes to orientate your self on a map. spread over 1000s of nodes, turns to hours of gameplay that Overwolf users get extra time to harvest.

Let’s also add some tracking software to the game so that ags can make sure people dont have a resource map up on a second monitor. We need to stop these cheating scumbags.
Having a map outside the game is fine. Using a program to relay information to a player that they normally would not have is cheating. Its as simple as that. Now these maps are taking data from the game and giving it to players in their own web browsers. AGS needs to ban these programs from being used in their game.

The funniest thing is I know Moe from ESO, where he dies often, and where minimaps are the most used addons.
What ags needs to do is just include these features in the game 
People are just finding solutions for a poorly designed game.
