I fully agree with you that minimap, and/or radar correction should be in the game.
For the screenshot, I took it on the forum, I did not know that Overwolf have changed it, not using it, I apologize, I recognize my fault.
what I reproach to the addon’s is the potential drift that it can generate ( dpsmeter , auto- macro ect…)
coz clearly, they are lacking of that damn minimap! not everyone has a good sense of direction or have two monitors. why even bothering people the way they play?, just play the game and stop anoying people, thats it. Just quit the game already if u dont like it, coz of you crying babies that server keep going down and annoying the whole community for not being able to play coz people arent playing the way you like. Leave them in peace, Some just play to relax thats it, if ur hardcore good for u

A cheat is a method that is secret and no one is supposed to know that someone is doing.
I’m just not sure of the logic in AGS. So, you readily make your X,Y & Z coordinate data available. This without a doubt enables Bot programmers to set-up routes. So, they enable bots. Active players ask for a QOL item to assist, but they take that away?
It seems to be more of a matter of pride, and that they don’t want to be upstaged since they’re incapable of producing a functioning map. The compass is laughable when it works.
Yeah that’s always been the thing.
IF the interactive map didn’t exist AND the game was not fully mapped out already I could understand them not wanting to allow an overlay.
HOWEVER since the information is readily available, it no longer is a matter of if the information is available to be displayed, but QOL in how the information is displayed.
People say the overlay breaks immersion. Well tabbing out to update a 3rd party website and making me close whatever I wanted to watch on my 2nd monitor breaks immersion a lot worse for me.
TBH Map Genie and Overwolf could just pair together and just take your player location (which AGS has said is perfectly fine) and add a moving pointer to Map Genie, cutting AGS out completely.
It’s not providing you with any information you can’t already get by looking at your phone (or another monitor) while you play. It’s just making it more convenient. Once you learn a route , you don’t need it anymore, just like how you don’t need the compass anymore 
Quit complaining. All you’re trying to do is ruin the community like the other trolls.
They can’t even track you on your main screen. Hell they can’t even make a mob in their game drop the desired loot, or give people in game a correct amount of gold as a make good offer.
Literally No one is using the minimap for pvp.
I don’t even use it but i also have zero problem with others using it. If you think that a mini map in anyway gives a person a meaningful advantage in either PVP or PVE your crazy.
The mini map doesn’t display other players, and knowing the terrain offers no PVP advantage what so ever. Any terrain that would give you a PVP advantage is all ready easily in view in game.
And their are hundreds of maps available online that show every node location. And after doing a couple runs your going to be doing it off memory literally.
So many real issues to be focused on and people want to waste resources on this…

Yes, like them enabling bots by readily providing X,Y & Z coordinates for bot programmers? Wouldn’t that be a higher priority then again targeting active players?

It’s fairly simple to automatically check if there are ANY overlays in use. They should have a client-side system that takes a “screenshot” of the game window region, run it through simple NN trained to find non-NW (or not whitelisted) elements and then if there is a hit just send that screenshot to human moderator (just to be sure - you can never 100% trust a NN).
Also to prevent people from cheating by using minimaps on other monitors they should do the same test (but maybe less frequent) for non-game window regions where they are checking for anything resembling NW map.
Such system would pretty much eliminate the use of minimap by anyone.

Maybe Amazon should force close all browser windows, and disable the rest of the network and turn off all additional monitors too ?
You have to install an Amazon app to all cellphones in the area because you might look at a MAP!
And what advantage are you getting in PVP Exactly ?
this would be EXTREMELY illegal to take a screenshot of a users PC that is NOT specifically only contents within their own application. which would mean it would not be able to detect any overlay.
what if I have private pictures of medical records open on my second screen ?
Depending on local law this could be part of EULA, but indeed screenshoting non-game regions would be a gray area.
Screenshoting the game window area on the other hand (while that window is active) shouldn’t be a problem since only overlays would appear there.
