'Passing this along to the dev team!' - What actually happens?

I mean its nice for sure to get any kind of response on our feedback, but just sometimes makes you wonder what happens to all the effort we put into making that feedback, yknow? lol

Ofc it is an internal process, what else would it be? There is someone who collects feedback in multiple forms, there is a certain way of how they forward it etc.

Its an internal process of AGS and I personally would not share it. Its not up to my customers how I set my internal process.

I don’t know, no.

Because of all the bug reports and suggestions that were ignored throughout testing.

You know how many of the games initial issues were reported repeatedly throughout testing… yet they launched with the mess regardless.

But it was passed along to the team so :+1:t2:

And thats fine, but that doesn’t mean the question cannot be asked, does it? You’re not AGS lol

Point being, they don’t need to respond at all, but as players we’re always going to be curious about what happens to our feedback. There is nothing wrong with that.

Having us know more about the process and how our input will be handled might actually cause us to give better input.

Transparency isn’t going to hurt anyone, unless the internal process is just to not pass stuff along and shitcan it. Then yeah… I could see not responding as a viable option because that would really annoy some paying customers.

If they value the input we give, then it makes sense to invest in our ability to give it, by describing the process and giving us an idea how to better craft our suggestions for consumption by the “devs” which will eventually get it passed to them.

I always imagined when things get passed to the dev team it goes something like this…

I mean I posted basically the same thing like 5 min ago in another thread… but I don’t even mind. I hope it pops up every time the cm’s respond. Should be a meme for NW at this point. Takes them 6 months to make changes that should have been first month hot fixes… and they botch half of them anyway.

Still waiting for them to figure out how to remove attributes from shield and double them on swords… maybe in 2023 ill stop getting handicapped everytime I weapon swap off my main.

Edit: I should point out I don’t actually blame the cm’s, I understand they were essentially hired to be human shields between the users and the devs… been there, done that. It’s not fun being a verbal punching bag for a living.

Well let’s all welcome another month of expectations, disapointment and facepalms. It already started by reading the patch notes and finding out combat (what should be a core and solid building block) will still be as broken as it can get due to Feb’s patch.

31 days to go.

Ofc you can ask  I just don’t think you get an answer and I explained why, thats all.

They file it appropriately, under the we know what needs to be done to make this game succeed.

Usually involves CC and GA buff.

Lol true its far better for them to assume everything is working as expected, despite no progress.

Honestly as long as they do something about the absurd amount of CC and fix the stutter/weapon bug (ideally remove the whole queue/buffer system), I’d be happy with just that LOL

Ive wondered the same thing. If they take our topics and dumb them down, then that is definitely an issue, the only acceptable method is either linking, screenshot, copy paste, etc.

Dude you need to manage your sky high expectations.

Its better to say you have some friction with other players.

:joy:
you’re right, we’ll likely get another clown-themed skin in the cash shop and have the TP disabled for a week instead

Yeah and thats just another part of the friction the players have with the game haha

That means something about peanuts and not being consider fun enough, followed by praying to not have to be bothered by it everagain. ±

Right, but let’s start slower. First let’s target what was broken last month, which was never even acknowledged by AGS neither patched or tried to fix.

That is combat, where now, pretty much every action gets randomly canceled when you take damage.

Another red flag is for example, the SnS skill that was broken for a whole month, something that should be easy to address and should have been fixed the week after.
Before anyone feels attacked or triggered, THIS IS MY OPINION AND JUST MY OPINION.

The biggest red flag for me, is seeing a monthly list of patch notes with 1 to 2 weeks worth of bugfixing. It’s disappointing.

This to say, don’t expect stutter to be fixed any time soon

I think they toss it into their version of a bin that the dev team never checks.

I think the management is the reason this game turned out the way it did, not the lack of ideas, lack of knowledge or any malice on part of the devs themselves.
