You walk into a grocery store, and on a shelf you see 3 free products for the purchase of one. No one approaches you as you walk into the store and says anything about isle 5. You assume this is a real deal and not a mistake. You then pick up 4 items and walk up to the cashier and check out with your items. You’re like “Sweet! this is a great deal, the product (Focus/LifeStaff) sucks anyways, but if I can get 4, awesome!”.
Then, as you walk out the door the 3 extra items are taken from you by the store employees without any explanation. You walk to the customer service desk and ask them why they took the items from you that you just purchased. The store employees and other patrons of the store start calling you an exploiter because obviously you should have know better that the deal was a mistake by the store. Think about it.
You assert that there’s a price tag/advertisement on it that says buy 1 get 3 free. That didn’t happen in the game. No dev or piece of content anywhere said equip one life staff, and get a huge increase through using another and cancelling animation frames. This doesn’t work because the oversight on the devs is obviously inadvertent.
What analogy would be closer?
You walk into a grocery store and see one product with a price tag and 3 more boxes of the product that have price tags missing. You infer the other three must be free so try to just leave without paying for them.
And now the store (ags) pseudo fixed things (needs more nerfs in my honest opinion and more brutally) and now you as a customer (life staff/fireball/icestorm) can continue to play or not or continue to shop in the store.
In this case the customer is not and is upset because ultimately they exploited by an already pretty bad store which we should all to be honest never ever ever shop ever ever again.
At least my mommy and daddy tucked me in at night and told me they loved me. Yours should have done that more. Basically your parents made you into a cry baby when you don’t get what you want. Well done CrshnLandon’s parents!! well done!
Crash just accept the fact the life staff is getting there when it comes to balance and you can’t handle not using an overpowered weapon. Once you admit that, then you can start the life staff healing process. Ultimately it isn’t your fault, but now that it’s fixed either accept it, respec, or delete the game.
This is so stupid. This has nothing to do with the whole complaint I have. You either aren’t actually a real player of the game, and probably troll on behalf of those who should have fixed the issue from the beginning.
My complaint is legitimate. If you want me to use 1 life staff, let the focus attribute pair with another weapon in the game.
I will end up respecing. I wanted to share my opinion is all. I didn’t know that using two life staffs was cheating, had I know, I wouldn’t have done it.
And I fully believe you 100%. Like HarshHash said wait till the Void Gauntlet coming probably in December or early next year as it will also use focus so will be a good spec for a full healer.
No. It’s common practise for a healer to use two life staffs - not for the animation cancel, but for the bonuses. Different perks on each weapon for different situations. The extra focus too.
Other weapons besides life staffs have focus on them, you just gotta keep an eye out for them. I’m rocking a life staff war hammer right now and love it personally. Sometimes you gotta dance around the gear stats to get that right mix that works. I could not find a war hammer with focus so I went with one that has CON, then I took off a con ring I had been wearing and put a focus one on instead, this ended up balancing my stats pretty close to way I wanted them (minus attribute points I later use to fill in the blanks of my build, augmenting gear). Just some thoughts. I don’t see what you would be getting out of two life staffs except for the focus stats off the second weap. Wasted a slot otherwise.
Edit: I see someone above mentioned that there are also the weapon perks that may have been a big boost. Two life staffs both with focus and both with life-staffy perks could be a nice thing to have. Now not only do they have to find some other weapon that’s focus heavy, but also try to find one with healer life-staffy perks they just lost as well. That does kinda suck.
Most perks don’t work. Any weapon can have focus.
Learn the game. If you where running double life staff, I’m 99% confident you were rapid firing that bitch.
