Patch 1.1 is killing low population servers

I am transfer 2 days ago, only one change - easy to play Outpost Rush. All others - the same. Problem not in the population, problem in game … no intresting content after 60s, just farming gear score and no other way to play. Of farm gold and buy items from the high GS players, who have all that gear just from the regular mobs for easy …

No balance, a lot of bugs and no chance to solve them in the near future …

What most people fail to realize is that MOST people who play this game don’t read patch notes, they don’t read the forum, they don’t care about what you people are complaining about.

They just login and play the game.
If they aren’t enjoying themselves, they don’t make a huge post about why they’re leaving, they just leave.

I’d suggest if you enjoy the game, play it. Things will get fixed.
If you’re not enjoying it, then I’d ask why you’re even still here?

Real simple.

It is not that simple. This is not chess or Mario.
This is an MMO, people are naturally way more interested in the complexity of the game, in the data behind the scenes, in frequent updates, new content and bugfixes. And the MMO playerbase is different from the FPS or MOBA playerbase. Way different. This is why forums thrive for such communities while with shooters etc. they do not - the crowd just prefers different formats, they rather go on Twitter and click on a link to read the patchnotes or devblogs.

Most players i know do care about what is happening with the game and the servers.

Most people stick around to raise a fuss because, much like with real life, if you don’t complain loudly, and often, changes aren’t going to get made. Think of it like protesting online!

However, at this point, I wager AGS doesn’t really care all that much about the state of the game. Their continued lack of action is evidence enough that this game is in dire straits.

I do however disagree with what you are saying here though.

Finally, you can gather endlessly and not care anymore that someone picks the hemp before you… if there would not be that unlucky storage thingie.

This game is broken, dead, at least my zone SA East.
I wish I could have my money back.

It doesn’t matter what they change anymore, will be always bad for certain groups of people, it’s unrepairable.

I think the worst is why I stopped, because I don’t trust in the economy anymore.

Lots of reasons this patch could be how it is.

Could be it was unintentional and leadership is pushing the dev team too hard, that 1.1 was built around the wrong branch of the game and so a lot of things are very different from what we saw in the last patch - with issues not seen since the beta suddenly re-appearing.

Could be that leadership has realized Lumberyard is not a sustainable engine, and are going to torpedo the game to re-release it on UE down the line.

Could be that they really just have no idea what they’re doing and all of this is accidental with no leadership to guide them properly.

Could be that they just want to condense the playerbase down as small as possible to save money on the game and have that playerbase beta test them into a sustainable model later on.

Who knows, fun to think about, they’ll never tell us what’s really going on. What matters is it’s so bad that people are wondering what the hell is going on at that studio.

I think the main push for me is they just buff the elites. Making it damn difficult to kill in small groups as forming groups is difficult especially when I am in a low pop server.
Secondly of coz it’s the bugs. Which they fail to fix and now affecting some quests. Eg. Dyrad wolves, loot boxes not able to loot.
Third, the fraction super imbalance. 10v1 or even 20v1 on not so popular fraction. Shouldn’t it be like unable to join the fraction once the imbalance of the other 2 fractions? While the players are forced to join other fractions. Until it hit a certain limit then the populated fraction will reopen again…u can do it to there server but don’t know how to implement in on fraction for balancing… weird…

It’s just like those older games just stay there as cashgrabs over decades. Noone cares yet some diehards will stay, pay and play over centuries
Prob 2k on steam, prob 20k active total, prob 200k+ eur per month while simultaneously nothing needs to get done xD

Ours died too, i think we are down to a couple hundred players during the day, and a few extra after hours. We have some transfer out already. It broke the server. We all are waiting for the merger now.

This is just sad. I’ve been waiting for a good MMO for years. Surely there are some good few out there but they just weren’t my style. I really liked this and enjoyed it. 400+ hours into the game. But it’s just getting worse and worse, especially for low pop servers as OP stated.

Despite the ridiculous decrease in numbers in such a short time, I still believe the game is not dead and hoping for things to get better because I really want to keep playing this game. I am not sure whether to blame the devs or not, I think it’s more like there is leadership that has no idea about games.

This is not a new genre, there have been tons of examples of successful and failed MMOs out there. All you have to do is not to be so out of touch with your player base. From 900k peak concurrent players to 200k ish or maybe lower now. They could just add more stuff on the store and milk shit tons of money if they only care about the money too so it just doesn’t make sense to me if they try to reduce workload by making people leave and save up.

Will keep playing but day by day less excited about this game.

i dont know. They have any idea whats going on game at the moment ? How is this easier to craft infused potion right now ? Was that harder than now ? Forcing people to play light armor, then buff elites. Also there is no balance for pvp. They trying to nerf pvp while ruining pve, they have no idea, im sure. I said many times, why limited pve ? Why people spent thousands hours for this bullshit hwm system ? If this only pvp game then just delete pve options, no need already. If not, where is content ? You have sloopy limited content already, and you buffing elites, nerfing chests,deleting gears. These are amator faults, sorry but i cant keep going too i dont know what to do when logging same…

Pretty much killing our low population server to, the patch just made everything worse hardly any solo content left, their was some at least Scorpios was durable solo or 2 man know its, don’t even have words for it.

Then theirs crafting making it super expensive to level or impossible if the stations aren’t upgraded, besides crafting is nothing but a money sink until you get 3 house trophies and crafting pieces, witch are super high cost, there’s zero motivation to work on it if your not already 200.

Also increasing hwm grind by insane amounts, sure you can buy 580+ gear from auction house, but that in it self is a problem, if your gonna farm for loot for 500 hours, and everything you get is worthless.
Zero thought was put in why would people even feel motivated to do water mark grind, if everything their find is unusable.
