The LotR MMO was canned because AGS couldn’t come to an agreement with the licenses holder of LotR online because there’s already a LotR MMO, not because of New World’s current state. In fact that was a whole different team, not New World’s team. I’m not sure where you got your info, but they announced that long before New World even had it’s first closed beta and shortly after the preview event.
Might want to dig a bit more instead of reading articles that don’t give a full story or where ever you got your info from.

constructive input - they need to test stuff they (AGS) are a small dev team that after a PTR has seen a ‘few’ more bugs flagged up these NEED fixing or shit will hit the fan and more problems will occur as in the past SO just sit back chop wood / breath air / goto work and WAIT i am sure like me you have plenty of other games to play or relax your time away on.

In a way you’re more of a fanboy because you seem more disappointed about all this then the people who are just speaking facts and keeping a level head. We’re not complaining about them not giving us an update or saying something, but you people are. We’re not expecting them to be god tier miracle developers that can blink and have everything fixed, you people are. look, you’re attacking a CM, Community managers only relay what the dev team tells them, the dev team can only release what the higher ups tell them, if the higher ups don’t want to say anything that means the CM’s can’t release anything to us.

It’s very self explanatory, if they communicate you people will complain if it’s delayed or they give you a reason why it’s running later than normal you just speak toxic nonsense because you act entitled. If they don’t say something because they’re trying to get the update out on time, and you’re being impatient well you post forums like this and cry about every little thing. And like I said in later in the reply, they need to speak with actions not words. I don’t think you tell yourself you need to eat, you just go get food. I don’t think you tell yourself you have to use the bathroom, you just do it. If that’s the case then that means Amazon wasn’t developing the game so my point still stands. They didn’t cancel development because of New World but because they couldn’t come to an agreement with another studio. Lets be honest would you want a LotR with Tencent? They’re known as the most greedy when it comes to microtransactions. In fact it’s their games that have the most predatorial microtransactions. So I’d pass on that.
Play the PTR, the communication is clear by the work they’ve put in that. It’s also clear by them trying to release less buggy content instead of just shipping it out while people are have problems from freshly done server merges. I don’t need translations of old posts, I notice communication by actions they take, not a silly little forum telling me logical and trivial information. If you need someone telling you every little bit of information then you need help.
So you would want them to release an update with problems while they try to fix server merges keeping thousands from playing already? They’re trying to fix their game so it doesn’t have bugs that push players away, and that is going to have them lose players? Seems logical, maybe they shouldn’t fix bugs or server merges at all and give more broken content to get that player count up despite the fact they lose more players to bugs then they do to lack of content. But hey, who wants to play with minimal bugs, why don’t we bring back all the bugs they did fix as well as well as queue times, coin dupes and everything else so they can have 900k players again because that’s why people left, they were fixing their game.
If you need an update about everything, when a majority of people don’t even keep up with forums or social media then you need help. This whole post is based on someone crying about the event not being announced today because it was removed from a dev. blog based on PTR changes. Instead of trying to be negative why don’t you use common sense. They were trying to server merge for players to have other’s to play with for the event, not play on low populated servers where they can’t do anything fun. They’re listening and communicating with actions, you’re the ones refusing to see that. I’m sure there will be a post ether tonight or tomorrow for you snowflakes who are crying about trivial things, so stop acting entitled to information.
Sadly the update might happen next week, but crying about a delay you weren’t told about because you were expecting it today is childish. Look at it this way, better they fix the problems now then having to shut down the servers every other day to fix them later while the event is going on. And if it is delayed to next week, chances are they might extend it by a week. Starts on the 21st of Dec. ends on the 18th of Jan. Ether way, people are complaining over nothing and this very childish.
Not sure why people need to be told things, and expect things right on the clock. 12am 12/14/2021 my steam isn’t updating New World, better get on the forums and complain about them not saying anything about a delay. That’s all I’m seeing, shit took Square enix a few days for them to address their queue time problems they’re having right now as they try to shadow patch things to make it go faster, and everyone brags about how they listen to their community. Guess people really expect their lives to be told to them or expect amazon to give them all their info. AGS should give the source code at this point, see if people can fix the problems with mods or something. Might shut everyone up and people can blame the mods not the developers.
