You couldn’t offend me if you tried. I am particularly not going to be offended by someone who doesn’t know the difference between AGS and Amazon. One is a multi-billion dollar company, the other is not.
It isn’t your desire to hold them accountable that I take issue with, it is the manner in which you do it that makes you sound like a privileged, entitled, Karen. And this response just confirms my original assessment. You go on demanding a higher standard, Karen.

This is how dense you people are. It amazes me that you do not understand how things can go wrong. They did server merges because people wanted them before the update, due to problems from those server merges they were fixing those problems believing they could follow the date as promised. Seeing they might be able to they removed the date as a possibility it still can happen, now it’s official they can’t so they posted a forum a few hours ago addressing the update. That forum was posed by bxhaze087(thank you for that), and like I said in another post we will know by tonight if the update is happening today or if it was delayed, you just need to stop being entitled children crying for no reason and wait.
Seems like all of you want them give you an update for every little thing they do, and that’s ridiculous. Next you’ll ask for forums about their bathroom breaks as well so they don’t take too long. I would rather actions that show they care instead of a forum saying “We are working on the Winter Convergence, sorry that it’s delayed”. AGS has bigger problems to work on right now instead of communicating through forms.
As it stands AGS needs show us they care for their game by fixing bugs and problems not tell us they are or keep us up to date every waking hour through forums. The last thing they need to do is give you all forums to cry about. If you want that then go to Reddit and have a field day.
Notice how people reacted to the new Expertise and how it made crafting and buying gear worthless? Instead of posting daily forums about what they’re doing they introduced the system we’re getting now and it made everyone that much happier. This is the same thing, they’re communicating, but all you people are doing is crying instead of reading, seeing or listening.
Clearly you do not know how priorities work, right now their priorities is making the server merged servers work better so the update can be released for EVERYONE (Not just the few who want the event on populated servers) without adding more problems to fix on top of server merge problems. This is where your entitlement comes in, sure say it until the cows come home “It WoUlD bE NicE iF tHeY pOStEd SoMetHIng aBoUt a DelAy, AGS ComMuNIcATe BeTteR.” You dense children made this post before the day the event was announced to start, you didn’t give them a chance to communicate, instead you jumped the gun and cried saying they don’t communicate.
I would rather their actions speak over their forums, doesn’t matter if their forums say the update is coming out and it comes out on time, if the update comes unplayable or breaks the game more there would a lot more complaints then them not commutating. They need to fix their game, improve it and make it enjoyable instead of throwing things in and hopping it works. Not tend to impatient children crying on New World forums because they haven’t had a update that was announced on a PTR forum.
One of you told me their lack of communication is going to kill their game with only 10,000 people left playing the game, and that will happen soon. Tell me what shows more communication, a forum saying they’re looking into fixing the problems, or them fixing the problems and making the game more playable then release that in a forum? If you leave the game because they haven’t given you a dose of forums about something, then I have news for you. 99% of online games don’t address their problems a day or two after they delay something or release the content in such a bad state it’s unenjoyable and release forums 2 or 3 days after because people who complained or stopped playing until it’s fixed. Spending days or even a week fixing it as the event goes on wasting your time. AGS isn’t trying to do that, so give them time. We didn’t when they released the game so lets give them time to fix their game.
To be honest, as much as I enjoy this game. Knowing it has potential, I would rather them take it down for a year giving us only the PTR every month for 1 maybe 2 weeks to show a rework. Would shut the lot of you up because you can’t complain about anything, and there would be no reason to communicate because there’s no live servers.
Really, would you communicate with people like yourselves? Calling them trash, saying they’re bad because they don’t communicate to your standards, being negative and toxic. I wouldn’t, you wouldn’t be worth my time because you refuse to understand what is happening or being said anyway. You choose to remain ignorant and speaking to ignorance is pointless.
You cherry pick conversations like you cherry pick problems in the game. So you always think you’re right, changing what is said to fit your view. You don’t even make valid points. They removed a release date for the event and didn’t post anything about it right away. And what’s your point? Do you tell customers at your job you took an early lunch break or do you just take a early lunch break? Do you tell everyone every little action you do if you’re doing something or do you just do the actions? I doubt you say anything, so why are you getting upset with AGS doing the same thing?
They’re fixing their game, that’s more important and gives them better news to post when it’s done instead of keeping us posted about meaningless updates. We don’t need to know everything, we just need to know they fixed problems or are changing things. Are you people friends with the developers? Are you offended or something because they haven’t talked to in a day or two? You share selfies and voice chats? Ask how their families are doing? That’s communicating like you want isn’t it? Doubt it, so they don’t need to keep you posted on every little change and have that be their means of “communication”.
There’s a ladder, developers fix problems or share changes, they let people working on forums know and they post that information, then those forums are shared on social media. Until the developers have news forums can’t communicate, they’re not going to post “Sorry we are running into problems and the event might be released today” 2 hours later “We are still running into difficulties but the developers are working on it there’s still a chance it’ll be released today” if that’s what you want then you become a dev or someone who works on the forums and do that. Let them work, they’re doing fine with communication, you just choose to remain ignorant and ignore their communication.

I disagree. Making a couple thousand people happy with server mergers over making hundreds of thousands happy with an update is a miscalculation on their part. Unfortunate turn of events that can completely make a community lose faith in your product,

You have the white knights and the cave trolls.
White knights have the faction passive of being immune to community moderator actions, while the cave trolls have an inherent bonus to likes and hearts. The latter is a higher risk reward, as looting too many in quick succession will lead to a shadowban.

The server is still down 12:05am EST. Really can’t see the merge not taking all the servers involved down for at least a day.
I’m okay with that for now. I started another character and beginning again knowing what I know has made it actually fun rather than boring.
I am in no way attacking anyone.
In what way do you think any of the devs are limited in any way?
They are inexperienced, didn’t do research, and decided to go with an engine that have no experts/veterans attatched to it, meaning that if they are in serious trouble with the engine alone they got nowhere to turn to.
It’s not limited resources, it is simply foolish.
Your blood might boil at people feeling “entitled” to stuff, but my blood boils at people defending stupidity and non-sense.
You are after all defending a company that COULD have come out 2 days ago and said "There will be no event/patch the 14th.
Instead they posted “There was no patch today” 24 hours after the event was announced to arrive.
So no, when i get on the forums and provide feedback to the developers i expect the feedback to be heard in someway, what i don’t expect is people defending something that is not ok.
When people vent on the forums it is because they have issues, rather than defend the stupidity, let people vent, and let people complain until the developers hear them, don’t defend the developers when there are clearly issues.
If you are gonna defend or reply for that matter to a discussion, let it be about something that we can all disagree on and test out.
Like the Mage vs GA/WH discussion.
Because that is one discussion that can be tested out, discussed and let the developers take the final call on.

Jeeze this was long only to sum up the fact again people saying we want updates every minute we don’t care about that at all lol. When you say your releasing a patch the 14th and then wait till a few hours left of the day to inform us its not coming which we already knew and don’t even tell us when to expect it…
The thing is people are already mad on developers, team, whole AGS. I don’t say they did not deserve it.
BUT Whining and speaking more negative stuff over and over and over won’t make them work faster/better.
And in general they are listening to the crowd, which is the only thing that holds me there. There is tons of games where devs do w/e they want.
They listen to the players? What? They don’t give a damn about most of the feedback. I don’t want to bring it up again, but this game has so mad valuable Alpha and Beta feedback and 99% of it was completely ignored. Bug fixes and exploits are the best example for this, they still made it to live servers after months and months of testing and reporting.
I could of went longer, and no that wasn’t the sum of what I was saying. It’s the fact you people won’t be happy no matter what they do. The whole launch of the game is proof enough, they weren’t going to launch it and planned on delaying it again, until people started to hit up Reddit and social media spamming comments about people needing to refund the game and making post talking shit that they gave what everyone wanted, the launch of the game. Then you have people like Nyel who say shit like “This response is so out of touch, it’s hilarious. But at least it’s a response.” Isn’t that what the whole of this forum was made about, them not responding about the removed date? Should they give you a detailed explanation for you to take out of context and change? You got what you wanted again by crying and it’s not good enough.
The point I’m making is you don’t need to know every little thing, you say you don’t want updates every minute but you people didn’t even wait until the last few hours or anything. You made a post several hours before the day even started complaining about something so trivial. And if you already knew it wasn’t coming why complain at all? But I would just be wasting my time with a child like you. You clearly selectively read and choose basic topics to prove a very fruitless point. They’re trying to fix server merges, if you refuse to understand that then maybe come back next year and see if they’ll be on time. Because like I said in the last post, why would they communicate with you if you’re all just being toxic?
