With all these gold sellers spamming chat all day, why don’t you make everyone pay 1 gold per message say after a certain threshold is met. Say you get five chats per min, anything over five chats you pay 1 gold per message.
The gold sellers would go out of business.
Or the chat spam would be suppressed.
Meh I just Report/Block and get on with my day.
No need for something extra that could affect actual players when there are already things you can do to avoid spam messages.

Agreed. Bots are a problem, but don’t make the bot problem a burden on the wallets of legitimate players. The spamming accounts, at large, aren’t necessarily the ones farming coin to begin with. I imagine bots are segregated into different groups - those that spam sites to visit, those that gather coins, and those that receive coin transfers from the bots gathering coins. The spammers and gatherers are just throw away toons that have no function other than getting players to traffic whatever site the coin farmers want you to visit, or funneling money to the “bank” account.
