Paying to change attributes and or to Travel has to stop!

Imagine a game that penalizes you for wanting to discover all the ins and outs of what your build can do. I would assume the majority of clicks on youtube content have to do with streamers talking about different builds. One would think a game dev would consider making people have to think twice about switching up there spec and or not even bothering experimenting for fear of having to pay $200G, to be the opposite of engaging creative game play advertised in New World.

I am perpetually broke… trying max what I can do in this game and discover what I love to play… many days I am just flat out tooo broke to pay and don’t want to go grind some boring crap to make money just to swap my talents. Especially when it comes to having to try a dps role in OPR and then swap to heals in expeditions.

Suggestions:

  1. In rested zones (Cities, Shrines, before OPR gates open) Changing attributes should be free. Ok to charge 200g if you are outside of these areas.
  2. Same goes with charging azoth to respec weapons… I don’t care how little u charge, its BS to charge people for trying to figure out what works best for them. charge them azoth outside of the rested areas mentioned.
  3. You seriously need to stop gouging the crap out of people who want to travel… So many nights I just log off instead of heading up to the Norther territories to do stuff because I simply don’t have any more azoth… miss out on elite chest runs, portal runs all kinds of stuff. and before you tell me to buy houses… which are another huge money suck… this game has not even fixed the issue with my character to allow me to purchase a home and its been months…

Eventually if this is not fixed. People are like water… follow path of least resistance… if you want to see that path lead to less populated servers and people looking to other games vs going and grinding BS to get azoth and or $ just to travel or change attributes … then continue this practice.

Being able to swap out in rest zones is a good idea, I think they do it this way to have some semblance of character identity, if you can do OPR you’ll gain lots of coin & azoth in the meantime

100% agree. Respeccing should only charge a fee if you’re using out of of convenience out in the wild. Otherwise, in the cities it should be free.
