People AFK-proofing are making the queues worse

I think they still get kicked out after 20 mins even if they rain into a wall. Still, if people would log off if they need to take a 30 minute break the queue would move a LOT faster. I disconnected for lunch break rather than pressing a button every 15 mins, and now no chance to play again today.

No, I would also do this if I was able to. If they spin up enough worlds this trick won’t be necessary.

doesnt work. you get automaticly kicked after severall minutes.
you have to actively press buttons to stay ingame.

I was testing it, i put my char to autorun into a wall, sit down and watch the proccess, i spend on it 1 hour of my life, and realize that there is no afk kicker

i think that amazon need to integrate afk kicker, and put some administrators that will kick afk player that run with macros into a wall (seen some of it), it will release the servers queues and make the gameplay even better.

They doing this in towns

Thank you for the tips

Yea cuz the 10 ppl doing it would def shorten the 2k+Q right? Man that would help out SO MUCH!

I saw it earlier, it’s not just auto running, people that are never AFKing while being off the game run into a wall, they occassionally turn left and right and than they swing there melee weapon at the wall occassionally and I’ve seen over 200 players never AFK doing this specific Anti AFK trick, so my wife had to wait 2 hours in 1 quea for the quea to go from 1 to 0 and this is bullcrap

People doing this has their reasons but yes it is wrong.

There is also some players u can see them from time to time standing on walls and running against ist and telling people in " global chat " hey guys just put weight on your keys so u Ruzn all day and u wont dc, someone said with that he is online for more than 24 hours…
suuucks …

I mean, if I wait for 5 hours in the queue I’m not going to log out to go eat dinner for 30 minutes.

New World game AFK hackers - YouTube WHY

The Problem is Not the people that stay online. This game is paid by every one that plays it and we all do not have time to wait for several hours to login.

So if you managed to get into the game, it is natural you try to stay online.

I gave up a 60+ hours char on a German server, just because I think it’s environment pollution to keep my PC running all day long to get 4-5 hours playtime, and switched to a pretty much unpopulated server where I can login without a queue now.

I definitively see Amazon solving their server issues before kicking an banning people for AFK.
I think 15 minutes except of 30 minutes idle timer would be fine, also the mechanic should discover if someone did a real user input instead of only running around.

Also people who were online could be getting a privileged queue when they logged off less then 30 minutes ago.

The best decision was to lock new player creation on populated servers. You could monitor the load on the servers and decide from server to server where to disable the lock again.

But do not punish people trying to keep playing your game! That’s the worst you can do.

Believe me as a UK citizen the fact that electric and gas prices going up by about £160 a year I dont want to be logged in and not playing I dont want my computer even turned on if I aint playing however at the same time I am unwilling to spend 4 hours in a queue after work to play for 30 mins before I have to think about logging off for a shower shave and bed.

Until amazon fixes there rpg game into a MMO that can handle more than 2000 players which is only 20 full company’s I will continue to run into a wall to be able to play

This is not what anybody wants to do its forced on us by a rather poor server design

I still have a problem with that statement. >.> Isnt it realistical to say
X amount of people want to play so X amount of people are in the que?
If x amount of people are the q-people And y amount of people are the server people
And Z is the amount of dodgers it would be likes this

Y-Z; X+Z

The only reason why that would change, is because people would get “temporarily banned”
Which in the long run they would avoid.
The game maybe would loose a few players. Amazon honestly doesnt care about that.

I just honestly dislike they implementing maybe something like bans… and even shorter afk timers.
Now people cant even walk their dog for 15 minutes.

I respect that they want LIVE people… and thats their many focus point… but people will use the q as soon as the qs are stable and short enough. Half an hour queing is no issue when u make ur food. >.>

I am glued to the pc… but that the devs think i should be glued to the pc… is concerning for me.
They wanna manage something that will overall be managed as soon as the implementation of server change happens. I just sincerely hope it doesnt take weeks.

I honestly feel really negative about this whole q thing… as it totally destroys my immersion into being “First expedition” like… i need to fight to reach the early levels early… and unless you have no life like me… the struggle is real.

It’s simply poor game design in 2021 to have artificial barriers and no amount of fixes or complaints will change that - but hey it’s Amazon - not like you would expect server size to be bigger than 2000 players…

This is hilarious to see, but I do wish I could somehow redirect them out of the town gate so they wake up dead.

This is not a bad design, you just do not understand it  There is a big difference.

The whole Project is about exploring a New World and new people on this world.
Its meant to be that you will ge to know the people on the server and build a community and play with it.

On 20k people on one server you will never achieve that. You get that dont you?
On the other hand 2k People per server lead to pretty stable servers since release. When you are on the server … it basically runs smoothly. Also a good design decision.

The only “bad” decision was, that on a 2k Server you can have a queue with up to 10k people which means that server has a overall population more than 5 time its capacities. Thats stupid …
Of course in long turn, when all the early players will get burned out, there will be quite a loss of concurrent players. But I would have solved it by a better ratio and close the new player creation after lets say 5000 chars on one server.

here it is another afk guy with a macro, he was just prone-walking into the wall
