I know this is one of the ways companies or individuals use to make coins, but it has gotten so worse that they’ll lure you in with a free M10 run, but at the very end, they kick you. Because a buyer has already paid for it ahead of time. This is horrible. Many times they’ll talk shit about your skills on global chat, as if this is all your problem they kicked you. But none of that is true.
AGS please investigate this. This is horrible user experience for faithful players, and in a way it’s cheating, a new player can just buy gold from some website, and then use the gold to buy shards.
If a company wants to make money this way, they should have their own company members do this… instead of luring someone in, and use them dry, and profit.
Edit: maybe add a feature that you can’t just kick someone at the last boss with 1 hp left?
Lol. This doesn’t really happen. Most shard-selling operations are trying to kick 3 people at a time with <5% on the boss, and the people they leave behind are the orb-user and the outsider. Finding reliable people who can quickly clear M10 and manage the swap is difficult, and kicking people just means you have a smaller pool of people to draw from in future runs.
That said, it is true that shard-selling and shard-boosting is a bit ridiculous.
Yea pretty much every m10 once you go in, they are like “kick me at the end, we’re selling shards” or worse yet, you help them beat the boss and they kick you and invite the buyer.
There’s so much pressure to beat the m10 with gold that it’s not even fun or organic… feels like you are being used.
Someone told me some of them will pretend you’re the problem they are not getting gold and demand everyone pay up 3k… but in reality you’re the only one paying, the others are their guildees and friends. So they get free labor from you, 3k from you, and whatever the buyer’s paying, usually 18k for 6k shards.
Well, I respond to M10 ads so I guess it’s randoming in? I wish I had a group of M10 buddies who aren’t teenage boys that grief. I never agree with selling shards. But if they want to sell, I can’t control that… it’s their orb.
Well, the bigger issue is this is now a trend… and it’s scary. Some players are essentially abusing this - they’re sitting on 300k shards and have no use for it and not only do they sell it, they eat it too. It discourages me that some people can just buy shards without putting in the work. And also shard hoarders are abusing good-willed organic players who do wanna do an orb for orb m10.
its a resource and people will always find a way to make money on it especially with how much of a lottery this game is when it comes to making money to spend on more lottery crafting to make it easer to pvp or pve.
there for selling shards is probably the most convenient and constant way of generating some kind of income. in the same way that when people were grinding dungeon items selling orbs was just as profitable
something something about fools and their money.
if a group (a full 5man) wants to do it and split the profit per run then i really have no issues with it as that is a decision that group made.
if people are exploiting the labor of Randoms then that is 100% a problem
i personally dont care about the person that purchased the shards.
I’m asking AGS to provide a response to this… My main concern is there’s people selling shards, not telling you until the very end when they kick you when the boss is at like 2% hp, then they invite the buyer. You “worked for free” and then they trash talk about you (when you got them the gold) to discredit you from getting in other m10s. Selling shards is 1 thing. Yes, it’s a resource, ok so sure, if I tell myself that then I’m OK with people selling it, but AGS needs to implement a system so good-willed general folks aren’t tricked into a M10 dungeon, worked very hard, and bam, no reward (chest after beating boss, no shards). I too don’t have anything against people who buy shards because the sellers are the enablers. They’re just consumers. Keep in mind when they kick you, they got the gold from the buyer(s), and they got their own shards… Double dipping.
@NewWorldFan2022 thanks for your feedback and transparency! We are sorry to hear about this negative experience you have been dealing with. We’re always looking for ways to improve the game and we find these comments helpful. We will make sure this reaches this team so further investigations can take place.
Thank you. The key problem I see is a trend of bad actors luring free labor, then use them, kick them, all the while they make coin, and have it both ways. The people buying the shards… I can live with, although it is unfair to players who worked very very hard to get m10 gold… I have 1000 hours so far in this game. Again, I wish to see the bad actors punished for using people. The people who sell shards, but don’t kick you, I can also live with. Because they are kicking themselves to get coin instead of shard. It’s their orb. It concerns me that eventually everyone is going to be 625 GS, and there will be no new content for them, as I am already seeing on Pluto. So many 625s in the past month alone. While I am happy for them if it was genuinely obtained, it begs the question, did they buy it. @BRGF
You have no clue how this actually works. As other commenters said, it is a few bad apples. Block them and move on. This IS NOT happening for the majority. The guys that do it on our server are quite upstanding and want return customers and split the gold with the people that help.
OK I have no clue. Just for the record, I have not once been offered to “split the gold.” Nor will I accept the gold if offered. Please be civil, it’s not like AGS will ban selling shards, don’t worry, you will still make money that way. I’m not after guys like you, I’m after the people who abuse it, the bad apples.
Not me, I just know how it works over here. The newer players love it as a small bump to get over the starting hump. id rather have either the drops or shards so I am not running these. They already said they are fixing it kinda by making the boss reset if im not mistaken. Now they will just turn into carries.
Be honest dude… This didn’t happen to you. It’s such a waste of time to drag a pug through an m10 in the first place. And to go through the trouble of selling a single spot… I think (and sure it’s without evidence. But so is your claim of this happening.) You’re just but hurt that people can buy them instead of grouping with you or carrying you through them for free.
