True i concur with this, dont know why some are so mad about it… Its like just because ranged was heavy in opr they think that melee wasn’t a problem? i even bet ranged was so heavy in opr because ppl were tired of actually getting rekt by melee because of it overpower and homing.
All changes were very good for this combat change!
Yeap if this comes live refmove/grit/wh/ga nerf insatiable grav well perk for waste while we spent gold caps on those item Good Luck with 10k people online
no it’s not that. this change will make it worse for a game that already has poor PVP balance.
Currently the only classes causing major imbalance are bow and musket.
I really miss the OPRs I played without the musket and the bow.
because it was really competitive and fun.
I even want to tell you about a friend of mine.
In OPR if there are too many Bow muskets,
It was exiting the OPR and re-queuing. I know he did this to coincide with a game without bow and musket.

Bow and musket will continue to use light armor, which was nerfed and they die faster. Bow and musket also got nerfed.
If you want to kill bow and musket, you can do so easily after these changes.
If you want to go full dmg as melee in light 2-3 shotting everyone, you can still do it, but you lose grit and some survivability
If you don’t want to die to Bow/musket, go 300 CON and you get a bonus as well
I get that the dmg nerfs on GA/HM may be a bit much, but losing GRIT? That’s just absurd, no one should care about GRIT if you aim for dmg

We can’t kill Bow and Musket. do you know why?
because light armor is dead so every melee player will play with med build.
even mages (I even med build)
Rangeler will play with light armor again.
And they won’t die because we won’t be able to catch them.
because they still have unlimited haste ability
because they will still use rapier.
because they will still be able to deal tons of damage.
because it still has 150m+ distance advantage
It’s that simple my friend.
If this update comes as it is, it will be the end of the game. I hope they give up on this idea.
If we r being honest about weapon balance, Ppl have been complaining about grit on the 300 strength perk for much much longer. Most players expected them to fix it in Beta
I think the patch is going to finely stop the cc burst-damage meta we have had to deal with these last few months , it should actually be good for bruisers, tanks, ranged dps and possibly even healers
Idk. The haste is big but I never really thought it was the main issue. For me it was the insane damage. Honestly I think my light melee build got a buff overall

If you couldn’t learn to enjoy the “3 attacks = dead” meta what makes you think you’ll thrive in a more complex meta against those who could press 3 buttons?
Everyone knew musket and bow damage was off the chart.
So, the first patch reduces all damage output across the board EXCEPT the musket… I mean I really REALLY don’t get that. Plus making them MORE likely to stay on the rocks. –
Then to really make waves, beat up melee some more.
It’s not all bad, fixing tracking and fixing bugs is a good thing. But the elephant is the room is STILL in the room, dancing with the same funny pink tutu.
Hatchet got it’s first kick too, it’s just a kick in the shins, but it’ll evolve to a kick in the junk in later iterations.
