as you level up fast traveling becomes easier. i thought the same as a low level.
man i hope we get mounts but when we do it doesn’t change the speed, lol.
you wanted mounts you got them. its alot eaiser to change speed then to add more visual content.
running on road should gain 20% speed.
right now it’s just a logistical nightmare.
The only way I’d like mounts to be added is if we could tame one of those elks or bison to pull a cart or wagon so I don’t have to make 6,473,289,067 trips between towns to transfer things from one inventory to another. It could even go slower than running, such as walk speed (with protection from random mobs, of course, unless you leave your cart.) You’d have to stay on the road, and you can’t leave your cart for more than (X) time or it becomes vulnerable to attack from PvP, and you can’t access what the cart is carrying except in towns… I’d go for that.

imagine you do get mounts ? what are you gonna with them?
most people already done quests they wanted to .
mounts will be disabled in pvp quests so you cant use them for that or any instanced content .
for farming mats? imagine having a 3-5 seconds cast for getting on and off your horse and having to do that , for every node you wanna collect not to mention if you are mining half of them you cant even reach with a mount .
if anything it would take you more time , there is nothing to do with mounts at all .

however you use your mount is up to you. personally its for traveling to OPR queue / dungeons and oether stuff. using it for mats is just stupid in a congested high mat area. unless you’re objective is to get to mountain pass that is rich in resources. mount to that, dismount and collect via running

I would care less about mounts if azoth prices were lowered or the cap was raised. I needed to do some inventory management. Let me break down how ridiculous it is to do so:
- Our faction doesn’t own the majority of the map
- We did have both available forts to help manage fast travel costs, the other was locked at the time, couldn’t do anything about that.
- In order to make it not be an insane amount of trips, my bags were always nearly full which meant I was running super heavy
- My inn is SM and I don’t plan to move it, it’s too useful up there
- I do have a house in WW, but I’m not going to buy tons of houses that I don’t wish to upkeep
- To port from Everfall to Monarchs was over half of my total azoth.
- YES, I can buy farm/azoth, but even as cheap and abundant as it is, that gets expensive or old very, very quickly.
- So I ran. It took a few hours and I only got my metal stuff sorted. Will have to repeat for other resources.
So I don’t think the system works as it is. I think that costs should be reduced across the board AND the cap should be raised. If I want to farm 5000 azoth so I can do something like this less painfully, I should be able to.
i carry 2 houses and enough materials to make them while farming in shroud of the avatar:P

Yup, it’s cheaper than it was. But the point stands that I should not have to resort to farming bottles or buying azoth en mass just to function in this game. 50 azoth a bottle. 10 bottles to refill a jump to a neighboring city. Even more to go further. Means I’m going to need…90 some bottles just to move across the map. And with bag capacity, I have to do that three or four times. So 360 bottles? Seems reasonable really.
People will quit if mounts ARE added. I have not yet seen a game where adding mounts does not ruin it.

The sheer number of replies to this thread shows what the whole community wants: a Yoshi mount.
I’ve been saying this stuff since alpha release… everyone thats against it is “Oh mur PVP experience” or " Take the scenery in blah blah" or… my personal favorite one i laugh at “Go back to wow” like um okay yeah because “wow” is the ONLY freaking game that has MOUNTS FACE DESK sigh i really dont enjoy walking everywhere considering ive been doing it SINCE ALPHA FFS… theres ONLY soo much a person can take before even themselves go “Yah know ive been everywhere i wanted/needed to go and done X Y and Z”. Adding a mount(s) to the game is NOT going to kill it and if you people spew this crap please tell me what SINGLE game has died due to specifically mounts… im waiting…
Apparently Azoth costs make people quit, no mounts make people quit. What else should we add to this list ?
