This way of looking at it makes no sense…

after exploring all the 40+ zones I’m convinced mounts will be added. they weren’t addeed at launch for following reason:
Stall tactic to prevent accelerated leveling and accumulation of wealth.
Why?
Because game was not ready but they were forced by upper management.
- Look at the 40+ zones and how much of a pain in the ass they are to navigate ( you can’t scale almost any of the mountains)
- The main story quest after 40+ involves you running around mostly to just literally talk to an NPC and report table (restless shores, after depths)
The game is already easy, things taking longer dont amount to skill.
People will quit. The game is not and never will be for everyone.
Go play a game that has mounts. Wait you are not happy with those games either…maybe the problem is not the games but those playing it?

Of all the people who I know who have quit - none of it has been due to mounts. Trust me there are plenty of other reasons people are leaving:
Bugs
Exploits
Lack of diversity in missions
Economy
Complete power imbalance - especially with changes on PTR
Out of control taxation
Tuning orbs
Just to name a few reasons…

After you’ve had that mount for a couple of days and realize it changes nothing because the entire player base has one to, what will you be in here complaining about next?
At this stage they can add in flying f.ing unicorns. It wont change the issues.
Yes to mounts for me but do it right. Mount stays active when you get off it, can be killed, can be left at camp safley, gives seperate extra bag space, can run on roads but trot through undergrowth… etc etc
I could give two shits about mounts. I wont play a game that only temp bans cheaters and exploiters, which have absolutely destroyed the game vision for me.

Just add haste pots and be done with it. Way easier plus won’t have tons of people crowding the trading post sitting on their stupid mounts.

Im really hoping they start working now on a good mount system for when the world gets big enough to spport them and not just some 300% speed, fly/run over everything crap where you just insta go to whatever your target point is and see/interact with nothing from the world.

The problem is that the map is getting bigger, it was already big by default, with each new Monthly content drop. Adding the 10% faster on the road is just a half ass measure in hopes to avoid doing what should have been done ages ago.
