Why is it that you can´t interrupt the perforate animation.
Perforate is the only “more hits than one” animaton that is not cancelable.
For example, raging torrent can be interrupted by dodging, same with rapid shot or Crosscut.
Spear is in a good spot atm but being able to interrupt an animation that is basically a death sentence if used in wrong times. speaking of you heared the sweep sound and press perforate immediately but the target didn´t get sweeped…
I use spear but it’s honestly a strong ability that applies rend and can stagger.I think being able to cancel sends it over the top. However soear is in an awful spot. Most of the abilities like cyclone and especially sweep don’t register all the time despite target having no grit and clearly being hit by it.
Rapid shot wasn’t interruptible until like 6 months ago. I agree perforate should have the same treatment. One should be able to dodge out of the animation after the first thrust.
yep, and before that barely someone played that perk, because it was just was to easy to counter - same with perforate. especially with all the grit guys running around that are not affected by the stagger
It would be a quality improvement. But like I said it’s a pretty damn strong skill. It’s also a lot faster than cross out and rapid shot. If they mad it so you can cancel id slap ppl to hard. The fortify ability on the wrong is super underrated. Staggers are useless against str builds. Again one of many problems in this game
Yeah you’re right that is really annoying but how I’ve been playing it I try and commit to spear a bit more. I’ve been having fun with cyclone. A 50 percent slow with crippling on ring is fun and underrated. But the spear bugs make it difficult the hits not registering that is
i played spear and GS , and i would def support to make perforate cancelable and Crosscut not cancelable by dodge.
its makes more sense that way since you are suppose to be more swift with spear than greatsword
also Greatsword crosscut has grit and perforate does not.
And also skills can only be canceled by dodge but not blocking is bad.
And dodge is instant while blocking has windup animations, i have countless time blocking arrow ,having the blocked sound and effect but still taking dmg.
