My IRL brother has been falsely banned and its permanent, the appeal process must be automated because the response in the appeal is another link to appeal? Before he got banned he posted in the in-game chat saying ‘Anyone wanna buy Infused Regeneration potions? going for $4 Each on TP. I’ll sell for $2 Each’
I don’t know if this auto flagged a system for a perm ban. but if it did that is seriously messed up considering TP means trading post and he was OBVIOUSLY talking about IN game money, and if this isn’t what flagged his ban I’m even more confused as he is not toxic or abusive, I just want to play the game again ( we did every quests together I’m in the middle of 7 quests he is too) both level 60 and I am stuck waiting for him and he can’t get on,
so my question is how to get unbanned when the appeal is automated?
Appeal again. I’ve seen where people said they had luck with that.
Just don’t expect any more from the forums, other than getting told the forums isn’t the place for appeals or discussions on bans.
I had the same thing with a 24 hour ban. It was unjust and I went through the appeals process and the email I got back just said to visit the link for the appeals process.
Absolutely embarrasing, huge egg on face for AGS and many angry customers.
Yeah the “Unban Process” is “there is no unban process”.
You get told you should open a ticket, just that the support there can tell you “you have a ban, but sry we cant give you more information, bye”.
This is sad
Would not care at all if it was a day or a week but for him to be perm banned for nothing after hours and hours spent into the game (plus money to buy it and buy skins) is so de-motivating, what am I supposed to do go complete the quests weve been doing together for the last week and hope I dont get false banned too?
Better to post here than nowhere I don’t care who complains I wan’t someone who can help me to see this
I’m in the same Situation my friend. We started to release iof the game with three people, now one is banned (400 Hours of Life gone ) and we don’t know if rightly or wrongly. And we don’t know if we can be banned too. This is demotivating like hell and we are thinking about quitting.
It would be even better for me to know that he cheated then to know it maybe is just falsepositive.
Same. I’m thinking about quitting because my unjust ban and lack of ability to appeal has served as evidence that there’s a very real possibility at some point in the future they’ll do this again but with a perm ban, and that’ll be all that time gone.
I don’t want to risk that, so I’m thinking about just quitting. I just no longer trust AGS.
Just first example, read dev tracker, this gets said a lot.
The problem is after all that happened since release my mind questions every action of AGS that is taken. And when there is a lack of information, there have to be something going on bhind the scenes that they wont talk about. And the easyiest explanation for me is that the poor people in the ticket system dont have any access to check if a ban is correct or not and they have the order to just say “bye” when they see the Text “EAV” in the Account information.
This is what I have been suspicious of. They have overturned a load of bans, saying it was “human error” and insisting there’s no automated systems. So the question becomes, what evidence are the mods using to make their decisions.
When I was unjustly banned, what evidence was that based on? Like, what was actually reviewed by a human? How can reviewing of evidence result in error, surely it’s either obvious a ban is just or unjust, and if you’re not sure then err on the side of caution so as not to ban legit players.
It’s a total, total mess. And I do not trust AGS at this point, not to be competent and actually don’t trust them to be straight with us regarding this process.
I appreciate the feedback on our ban appeal process, I am providing this feedback to the heads of the support and moderation teams, but we cannot do anything on the forums to help investigate or solve moderation issues unfortunately.
Please continue to use the appeal process and I’ll keep providing the feedback that folks want to see improvements.
