So I got perma banned in New World and I can’t send more tickets, so the game support suggested me to post here on a friends account, as I can’t use my own since it’s banned. I was banned for a silly reason and I “burned” my appeal to know what the reason for the ban was, so I my only option is post here, sorry for any inconvenience. My account name is Deloreann and the server is Atlantis (SA).
I will state what happened in case someone on the moderation team sees.
Last Friday I started crafting T3 rings to level up my Jewellery Skill, as I was crafting a lot of them I thought it was a good idea to sell them in the market, so I did. I wrote something that in English translates to: “Selling +11/+12 FOC/CON/INT rings at Everfall NPC! 500$ each!!”, meaning that I sold them on the Everfall Market and each one costs 500 gold. Then I would sent them in the global chat at regular intervals.
Around 9 PM as I was doing some quests I got perma banned for, at the time, apparently no reason, as the only thing the ban said was “Disruptive Behavior”.
Right after that I went to the New World support and sent a ticket saying that I didn’t know what I was banned for and I didn’t do anything that deserved a permanent ban, right after that I got and email saying that my ban appeal would be analysed.
[20:13]
Two days later (Monday) I got a response saying that I was banned for the many messages that were sent offering to sell items for real world money. And nothing more.
So I it clicked for me that it was a misunderstanding, as the only thing that I sent that even remotely could pass as me selling items for real money was my rings, which is silly, because not only I was selling them in the IN-GAME market, not by trades, they never would be valued at 500 dollars, I merely used the $ to indicate the in-game currency, I didn’t even thought of it representing dollars. So I sent another ticket explaining my situation.
After not receiving response for more 2 days, I contacted support, which said to me to wait, but after I sent the second appeal, now knowing the reason for the ban and pleading my case, I didn’t got an confirmation email like I did in the first. As it is stated in the support page, I can only send ONE appeal, but in the first one I didn’t even know what I was banned for.
So, that’s it I’m banned for a silly reason, can’t appeal my ban in any way, even post on the official forum and any mod can verify what I said by looking at my market log, chat and trade logs, but I can’t reach any of them.
I will link a image with the response I got back from the first ticket:
This should be fixed. There’s alot of gold farmers and real world item sellers that are mass reporting for what they deem to be “competitors”. This is not right and Amazon should definitely rethink their ban system.
The fact that support didn’t recognize the error when they manually checked your appeal makes me worried about the state of the game. Doesn’t seem like GM’s know how to handle things. Makes me wonder if I should start playing the game at all… It’s quite obvious that noone would pay 500 usd for that ring, and a GM should notice that instantly and remove the ban (if that in fact was the reason).
I kinda believe the OP to be honest…
A guildmember got banned cause we wanted to do a 3v3 duell on our server and he advertised it.
It was a simple msg in /global …
3v3 Duell, 24k price money, here link to register.
And yes, he got permabanned for that cause they thought it´s a goldseller… GJ Amazon here lol
Their support is useless. It’s Amazon support. They have zero knowledge of the game. None. Their manual check means nothing.
I told them my main quest disappeared and they said, “The main quest usually can be begun at the starting town.”
They structured their appeal system to work like their merchant sellers accounts; which means it doesn’t work at all. It’s a bloated, apathetic company.
Hello, Guys! Let’s make sure you’re following our normal appeal a ban procedure.
To file a Ticket, make sure it is as detailed as possible in your appeal to ensure it’s processed quickly.
Once we receive an appeal, we do our best to review and respond to it quickly. If overturned, the ban is removed from your account.
Things to remember:
All reports are manually reviewed by a human, and no part of our game moderation is automated.
Submitting multiple appeals won’t expedite the review of your ban. Additionally, you can only appeal a ban once.
