I have actually noticed major improvements to desync over the past month or so. It is clear to me they are working on it. The only major rubberbanding I get now is when I use a movement ability into a gravity well or an ice shower.
I don’t know about anyone else but I desync when fighting wolves with no one around. My gut feeling is that there’s something in the game’s positional validation that’s fundamentally flawed and inconsistent across different weapons.
I have no trouble hitting players with the fire staff but constantly struggle hitting players with a musket to the point where I no longer play the weapon. If aim is the issue, then a projectile should be harder to hit compared to a hitscan weapon.
Not my experience, as far as i know it has gotten worst in Barri , a 1000/2000 server at peak.

Lets keep this post at the top, by far the biggest issue with the game, did the devs finally acknowledge this issue?
They didn’t speak about how unplayable combat is due to this issue in their previous 2 dev videos.
And i quote them “i’m very excited.” and “i’m excited”.
I don’t know , they seem happier than ever to me on the surface.
I wish i could be also as excited as them about people freezing and teleporting every X seconds in my screen like a game from the 1995 era.

Yesterday I was at that queen miniboss farming yellow+black gyps in Ebonscale. And both mobs spawned not in proper place but 10m away. After spawning they begin to deaggro after being hit and run to there designate spawaning place.
It was so annoying to watch there retreating animation everytime.

I for one have smashed my keyboard trying to switch weapons or take potions.
But then i remind myself, my hardware is working perfectly…its the game thats broken.
Those that are saying “replicate”, there are so many threads around here providing video evidence and so many notifications regarding to this issue.

Boy… i’m really stubborn and i still play some OPR, like about 2 everyday, but most of the days the desync really takes all the fun away…
Specially desync vs gravity well and hammer meta which really prevents you from reacting to hammer stuns
and fully denies your weapon swapping when hit by gravity well. ![]()

Very serious problem that must be solved, there is already the imbalance of the weapons which is equally serious, add the desync and you will have a great dose of frustration! And to think that with full servers it would be even worse, a problem that starts from the release and that I assume they are not able to solve
dude… number 1 priority was to be able to /gallop with the roads speed buff and they actually did it!!! now lets see if it works properly and what dupes we can do from it.

They reply to pointless posts asking for hippos or other questionable “content ideas”, but the MOST pressing points since launch are getting completely ignored. Not ever addressed how their input/buff fix they implemented never worked in the first place.
Since last patch the lag/dsync/stutter sh*t is worse than ever and they don’t even mention it, either. But hey, new dungeon and new lagfest weapon (new roots, CC, etc), what can go wrong? ![]()
I’m trying my best, but lost any excitement for the new patch, simply because they don’t communicate and it’s been this way since the last couple patches.

I think they’d need to upgrade the servers, or migrate to new servers, potentially even recode the game.
Never happening. Lag is here to stay, they might improve it slightly but it’s never ever going to be fully fixed.
