Petition to the developers. Enter GM on servers to BAN BOTS

Greetings. You can all see how many bots are running all over the map, working around the clock and quietly get a level 60.
Bots have already learned how to fight, to use emotion when you get close to them.

And they are already firmly established in the game:

  1. a huge number of bots kill pirates in the starting location of the game. They farm pure gold for a couple of months now and already up to level 45-50.
  1. Bots farming resources. They get in the way of resources for you. They severely dump the price of the auction. They are just annoying everyone with their presence. I no longer know of any place where I would not have seen one or more bots. Many bots already have 60 LVL !

What do we demand from the AGS?

Put game masters on the servers.

  1. Check people who farm more than 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  2. Check people without faction.
  3. Check people who haven’t received a azoth staff.
  4. Check people who have received reports for a bot.
  5. Check people who run on the same heat map and then sell goods and send gold to the treasury bot clan or their mein.

Write to them in the personal message. Block their movement and watch their reactions. Watch how they run on the already collected nodes. Why are we players - quietly see the bots, and you ignore them? Solve this problem. It is very painful to watch.

18h? Ffs, check any1 that farms more than 7 hours in a row. If it’s a normal player leave him be. But check him.
I expect many people leave their bots running when they go to work.

ye, this problem has been around for a long time

This players with 40-60 lvls with no faction actualy bots. idk what AGS doing

They aren’t interested…

I just reported 5 bots in less than 10minutes running laps in WW; between Cooper’s Ranch and the settlement.

EDIT: Oh, and one of them is a lvl 60…not in a faction. -Humping an already collected elemental node is a dead give away that you are a bot.

Literally took me about 15 seconds to decide they were bots. Just on how they acted.

It’s more profitable to let the bots run and make a profit. That way, when the account does get banned, the botters go out and buy another copy of the game; after all, if you spent $40 and made $45 doing jack-all. Wouldn’t you spend another $40 to make $45 doing jack-all, again?

Meanwhile, the company makes a bunch of money from all the game re-buys.

…this isn’t limited to AGS, either. Every gaming company that does MMOs does this.

The problem is that they don’t block bots. So they don’t make any profit.
I would understand if they banned bots after a week of their work, at level 30 for example. And then they would all benefit from it, but the bots live for months. AGS does not want to make money on the bots

They do. Every company will look for any means to make more money.

They also probably looked at the percentage of bots compared to players, and realize banning that many would tank the game.

Like, on Kroclyea. I estimate about 10% of the ‘online’ players are bots. Now, obviously the count varies per server and even ‘time of day’. But I suspect AGS:

a) Sees them as necessary to keep economies running
b) Continue the illusion that the game is withering away

I can find no other logical reasons to allow bots to run rampant.

And I know for a fact, from 20+ years of online gaming that ‘ban waves’ have never once deterred botters. It’s all a dance to placate the fans (“see, we listen, we banned a bunch”) while simultaneously putting the sub-minimum effort to deal with cheaters. The bonus is, that the delayed response usually means the botters come back; more moooooneeeeeeeey!

In many other games, bots farm as far away from prying eyes as possible. Here they do not care at all. The whole problem is the lack of people from amazon, who would only be engaged in checking the bots.
When a bot receives a couple of dozen reports and farms for two months, it shows that Amazon simply does not have a person who handles the reports

There are too many of them…and they live too long.

The inaction of the administration is amazing, they say they are dealing with this problem, but NOT ONE BOT has been blocked in a month
