Describe the issue you are experiencing:
I was just mining a platinum vein in Shattered Mountain just outside of Ambusti Mines and mid-swing I was hit by an arrow from an archer. My pickaxe disappeared and when I tried mining the node again I saw a red X on the node and it said “No equipped Pick”. I checked my inventory and the ground and the pickaxe is just gone. It was also locked.
I would like to mention that this has happened to me a few times since the March update where I get hit while using a weapon and the weapon acts as if it’s unequipped so my character starts swinging with his fists. When I switch weapons it fixes it but I have no lost a weapon to this thankfully.
As you can see it’s not equipped nor in my inventory. Please help me get it back so I dont have to buy another one.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: I’m not sure. I was mining and mid-swing as I said. I was hit by an arrow from an archer in the road and my character stopped swinging. I killed the archers and when I tried to mine the vein again I noticed that my pickaxe was gone.
this has been going on for awhile. it usuallyo happens while something attacks you while you’re gathering. gathering something else will usually bring it back. it used to be when it happened if you repaired everything it would come back but recently it won’t let you into your inventory either when it disappears
I just had this happen to me during a Corrupted Monolith with my Azoth Staff. Was closing one and then stopped and said I need level 2 staff equipped. And couldnt open my inventory. Nor could I open it after it was closed. Thankfully someone came alone soon after to help close.
It has been happening to me for the last few days also (I’m on Orofena). Pickaxe and Sickle (I think!) also. Relogging has caused the item to reappear. I also had the issue of not being able to open my inventory at all after it happened but this doesn’t happen every time.
lol, someone came along and grabbed my Platinum vein I was hitting so I’m sad.
All jokes aside, I was able to fix my problem though im not sure what the fix was. I did perform a “Repair All” because I was able to get into my inventory. This is a weird bug and apparently I’m not the only one affected by it so hopefully it makes it onto the list for the devs.
I think what happens is when you are attacked mid harvest it sticks your tool in your hands. When you force yourself to use another tool it puts the one in your hands back in its slot where it belongs. Annoying for sure, thankfully I haven’t ever had a tool completely disappear.
I ran into this bug several times already. It comes with the habit of not killing mobs, so they hit you while mining. Sometimes the game says you have no Pickaxe anymore, but this is false. It is an UI bug.
Without relogging, I fixed it via this one of this 2 ways:
I went to a tree and chopped it down = My pickaxe is back (yes I know its weird)
Click “Repair all” and the pickaxe will be back (OP fixed it the same way actually)
Not the gathering tools! I’m looking into this!
