Ping inside OPR going crazy, normal when outside OPR

does anyone have any idea why this happens and can give me some kind of solution

I am really sorry for unstable ping in OPR. Please try the following tips -

  • Settings>Visuals>Player Nameplate Amount>Slide left to decrease.
  • Settings>Visuals>Dynamic Resolution Scaling>On

OPR is still very bad when it comes to lag. I would argue its worse now. I don’t know what they did but its very unstable now. I would say it’s the most unstable I’ve seen since launch.

I don’t have the stats you have there but I’m sure I could get them as well. The input lag is actually insane. I play musket and there are times where I will ADS and then right-click to fire and then I let go of ADS to move side to side. I do it quickly as I’m trying to aim down sight, shoot, then unaim so I can walk side to side faster while I reload. Anyway, instead of actually shooting while I’m ADS, the action will trigger a second later when I’m not ADS and I’ll hip fire.

Other examples, I’ll roll behind a wall and I’m on my end I’m clearly behind the wall but I get shot and die. I can see the tracer of the gun fire and its to the side of the wall so they didn’t use the exploit of shooting through the wall. The dsync and lag is just so bad that on my end I’m fully behind the wall by a good margin but apparently not server side.

Additionally, with the random spikes I’ll have players on my screen running in place for 2 seconds and then 20 yards away the next. Other times, it’s fine then slight spike and they teleport a few feet away and that will happen several times throughout the game. Sometimes it just makes so difficult as a musket player because there is no consistency. I know everyone hates musket players but when the lag/desync is that bad it makes it incredibly difficult.

As a rapier, I run blood tree. This has never happened before until recently. There are times where I use tondo and the lag for whatever reason spikes so hard that I literally will be standing there for about 1.5 seconds or so then everything “catches up” and then tondo actually executes. It is so bad, and I have never had that problem before.

Dodge inputs also don’t register at times so I mean its a complete mess at the moment.

Some games are worse than others but that kind of lag has always been present in OPR.

I’m hardwired on fiber internet. At this very moment getting 800 Mb/s with no one else in the house using heavy consumption shrug.

Further testing, any sort of intense combat is straight up garbage now. Its wild how bad this is now. I have no idea what they did to OPR but its worse now xD
