Plate vs Heavy for Mining Gear?

I am about to make a set of 586-600GS Heavy Armour with Reinforced Mining Luck. I think having Heavy over Light armour for Mining Gear makes alot of sense as you can farm Ori without dying.

The real question is should I make Heavy, Plate or Fur-Lined Heavy Armour? I’m thinking of going Heavy which is Physical over Elemental Damage protection as most of the Corrupted you are fighting do physical damage? What are your guys thoughts? Maybe Plate for more defense against the Caster Corrupted? But I find the spear guys to be the biggest killers and having more physical protection will enable me to kill them to mine ori i normally couldnt

I guess it all depends on your playstyle and what weapons you are using. Heavy right now is the best in terms of defence so if you are strictly gathering, it would be the way to go. If you plan to PvP and want more mobility with dodging (again this entirely depends on what weapons you are using) then go with medium / light variants. I’ve read people using 4 pieces of the Const stat and 1 piece of either strength or dex.

This is about Mining Gear which is a PvE activity. Hopefully I roll STR on all the peices to get to 300 Str for Mining Bonus. But I guess the most important question is whether going Max Physical Protection over Elemental Protection is a good idea? All of the mobs you fight will be Corrupted. The most deadly seem to be the spearman. So maybe Physical over Elemental is the way to go?

If they are implementing a luck bonus to flagged players, it wouldn’t hurt to be ready to take on players to maximize gains on orcy nodes. But we won’t know how much luck until its released.

I do agree with getting 300 strength tho, the one tap on nodes is very satisfying.
