What server/world did you experience your issue on: Calnogor
Describe the issue you are experiencing: Character stuck in place, will only run in place. Only way to move forward is to roll and weapon swap, or cast an ability and carry the movement on (any forward momentum can be carried forward) but this movement will only carry on in a straight line, strafing of any kind is not possible.
A secondary symptom also occurs I will not discuss on a public forum.

(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: /unstuck & relogging have provided no results. Reinstall may be necessary but I haven’t tested yet.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Outpost rush match. Death at Baroness during ice storm, possibly also hit by a gravity well but I’m not sure. I was fighting a greataxe player at the same time and died to a musket user who shot me from a far distance.
If I could please get some feedback on this issue I will provide more detail via PM.
I’ve just picked this bug up, cant run, have to jump to start running, have to jump to change directions, first 2 steps are normal speed then i slow down, it persisted through death and a relog, looks like this is my life now…
Hey, guys. I had this same bug and I was able to fix it with the following steps:
Exit New World completely.
Exit out of Steam completely.
Re-open Steam.
Re-open New World and log in.
I tried re-logging and unstuck while in-game before fully exiting out but that didn’t seem to fix it. Template below:

Describe the issue you are experiencing: Similar to what other players reported. After doing an Outpost Rush (specifically after fighting Baroness and dying), my movement was completely messed up. I ran in place when trying to move. Sometimes using abilities, dodging, etc. allowed me to move temporarily, but then I could only move in one direction and it’s like I was strafing.

(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Tried unstuck then relog. Also tried completely exiting out of the game and closing out of Steam and re-opening Steam/New World. Completely exiting out of Steam and re-opening seems to have fixed it for now.

Update on fix from me as well. Apparently full closing steam may fix it? I went a little further on my end. I uninstalled, deleted all new world local files, right click game in steam, browse local files, mine were: C:\steam\Steam\steamapps\common\
Reinstalled game and bug was resolved. I think I’ll stay away from Baronness for a bit…
Sad bug but also kind of hilarious.
Solution 1: Fully close New World (Exit to Desktop), Fully close Steam (right click icon in system tray and quit). Wait 5 minutes. Relaunch New World.
Solution 2: Fully close New World (Exit to Desktop). Uninstall New World, delete local files (right click in Steam library > manage > browse local files > delete all New World. Fully Close Steam. Reinstall New World. Relaunch New World.
