Can we please please please remove player and monster collision? There seems to be a major issue when fighting/attacking monsters, they constantly try and get closer and closer to you which causes them to always push you away and 90% of the time they will push you up into a wall or over a railing and then reset. When combat starts i feel like the monsters are programmed to move to whoever they have the highest threat from but their “move to” code’s location is in a fine pin point spot where you stand but because we have player collision the monsters are unable to get to that location so they just keep trying and trying and trying and pushing and its pathetic.
Also, when we are fighting most bosses their hitbox is so poorly designed that you can’t even hit them if you are using a melee weapon. Increase monsters hit box size for melee, remove player to player collision, remove monster to player collision and improve monsters AI by not trying to literally get inside every person they attack. When monsters push and push and push it removes the ability to be a good tank. A good tank will keep monsters faced away from their group, stand in the healing circles, gather mobs up and group them so their group can AOE them all down, none of this is possible with the current state of monsters and player collision and it drives me crazy. Its not even challenging its just literally annoying to partake in. I’ve given up trying to keep monsters faced away from my group, I’ve given up on trying to group up monsters and just run around like crazy until everything’s dead.
I would suggest fixing the monster AI and pushing issues which almost always results in the monster resetting and then I would implement the following for player to player collision: same faction versus same faction no collision, same faction flagged verses same faction flagged no collision. Enemy Faction vs Frindly Faction collision, Enemy Faction flagged versus Frinedly Faction flagged collison.
