but your crafted gear may not be as advertised now so may be useless
The new expertise systems changes a system that did one thing into a system that does TWO things now.
It affect the gs of dropped items AND also affects how well you can use your gear.
This thereby handicaps everyone that chose the crafting route over the HWM route.
It handicaps crafter because they potentially would be giving you (HWM grinders) the full reward of two things things when you grinded for the one thing only while crafters will now have to grind for expertise.
the 2 roads as it is now:
road 1
----------------HWM grinding-----→gs 600 gear drops–→ you can sell gear in the AH or keep it
road 2
------------crafting grinding -------→ 600gs crafting------→ you can sell the gear in the AH or keep it.
So both roads are fair, valid and equal.
New expertise system:
road 1
↓---------HWM grinding-------gs 600 drops doesn’t change and you can still sell it ↓
↓
→---------however it also give you the ability to use your gear to it’s fullest potential------new thing you never grinded for
road 2
↓------------crafting grinding -------→ 600gs crafting------→ you can sell the gear
↓
↓
→------zip nulch nada---------------why am I not unlocking the ability to use that gear to its max potential like HWM grinders? Why do HWM grinders get this for free but not crafters?
Both roads are no longer fair, valid or equal.
I should be unlocking it too since my hard work should translate over be retroactive like you HWM grinders think yours should be.
An you can’t say it’s not the same cause when you guys grinded for HWM it was for the ability for gs 600 gear to drop only just like my crafting lvl were for me to make gs 600 gear only
This means it has to be the same for everyone can’t have it both ways.

So for all the people who spent tons of gold, gathered thousands if mats to craft their own 600 gears, will have to do grind the WM now before early 2022 in order to maintain their gear score lol
And for people who chose the different path (PvE people) they get to keep their WM score.
Sounds pretty fair to me.

you do have enough time to get your wm to 600 by just open all elite chests everyday. But it does still sucks though that the game first let you chose your preferred way to progress and then screw you over a few month down the path.

WoW is a sub mmorpg and they progression system is based on time. it makes sense from an economic point of view.
Regarding Voidbend i do not agree on a unique unbound armor that is so good. it should be more randomize or bound.
In a mmorpg experience do matter.Its pretty rare for a fresh player to compete with a veteran one. But thats based on alot of things.
I think that the game needs enough skill and knowledge that somekind of obstacle is not needed.
I am playing since day one. i do not want any kind of system to put me in an advantage.
Its totally fine to req some grind and effort but somekind of obstacle it will prevent fresh players to join.
That is a very serious issue in game.
*when your favorite hardcore permadeath game no longer exist because of lack of playerbase you thinking not what you prefer or what is for your advantage but what is good for the game.
And i am trying to do that.
I think to be fair on everyone it should be reset to GS500. The people farming chests all day are in no way more special than the crafters who spend hours farming all day. I can’t believe you would come out 3 months after launch and say that my gear i spend 600+ hours crafting is now 70-80 gearscore lower because i would rather do anything else but boring chest/myrk runs. I figured by now there would be 1 or 2 more dungeons released to try out. Each patch just reaffirms to me that we are in early access and you guys do not have a clue what you are doing. Thanks for fucking over all the crafting community
