Players getting out of knockdown in pvp

its called lag.
to some, its also known as desync.
its when your pc registered the knockdown, but the signal of ur opponent dodging didn’t reach u in time.
and when the signal/data finally reaches you, they teleported to somewhere else.

happens when u have high ping/server lag.
you can recreate this by having one player use a cc skill while the other use dodge at the exact same time.
to the person using CC, itd show they have successfully cc’ed the other player, while the other player would show they’ve successfully dodged the cc.
depending who recieve the signal first, most of the time by having lower ping, will result in their benefit.

the amount of people not knowing about the breakout mechanic in this thread was very worring

people really don’t pay attention at all during combat it seems

the audio and the blue glow around your character that it does when it activates should be enough to understand that this is something the devs put in so no idea where people got that it’s a desync or hacks :joy:

the fact u think there’s such thing as breakout mechanic LOL

press “a,a,b,b,left click right click” to break out of knockdown/root/stuns
or
spam “a, d, a, d, a, d” to trigger breakout

cute <3

you joking right? :woman_facepalming:

yeah u gotta spam “a, d, a, d, a, d” repeatedly to trigger breakout mechanic to instant roll away from kncokdowns/roots/stuns

has to be multible CCs or staggers within a window

u’re confused with stuns.
u get out of stuns by taking any form of dmg , excluding dots.
therefore multiple ccs helps u get out of stun if the first cc that hit u was a stun.
plus, what u’re describing, sounded more like a glitch/bug than “breakout mechanic”

why u so cute

i’m sorry where did i say stun? or do you think stun is the only CC in this game

i can’t tell if you trolling or are just one of those people but i must thank you for reminding me why i stopped going into these forums

Bradley already explained how the mechanic works

I mean, I never played spear (never had two CCs available), and I’m ranged so pretty much all the time out of the group combat. I noticed right away the blue aura and the sound, but the game not giving me any infos about this left me (and many others) in the blind. It’s the game’s fault, not the player’s imho.

well yes game should have explained this better but what i meant about this being the player is
that they should atleast know that this isn’t a bug or hacks or dysync from the sound and the blue aura.

Now not knowing how the mechanic works is understandable

even in the patch notes they added it in they gave a very vauge explanation of how it works

idon’t know if you watched the video from OP
it was 1v1.
do u see multiple CCS stacking? that triggered the so called “breakout mechanic”?
to me, it looks like the guy spammed “a,d,a,d,a,d” to activate it.

I was dubious but everyone talked about desync so I was like “ok, must be that then”…

but yeah they need to add some UI that explains that

Yes! I chained stun and knockdown

sadly problem with it is that it still has collision so if you roll into people or mobs you won’t go anywhere

which comes first? after stunning, any form of dmg would set the player free.
even a split second, a delay in ur next knockdown, as long as the otehr player is spamming his dodge, if he could squeeze his dodge into that split second, he could easily get out from ur combo.

do knockdown into stun next time.
not stun into knockdown

but anyways, ossas is right, its the game mechanic, either the code/lag/server.
could be anything.

I’m sorry but that’s doesn’t make sense. That’s not the issue. Check @BRADLEY explanation.

okie, will do. maybe im missing out.

just did.
but tbh, it happens to my opponents as well, many times, when i shield bashed them, it showed that i landed my stun, but next second they would magically roll out.
i asked if they were stunned, they always replied with “no i dodged”
its really confusing if this is a feature, or a bug, a glitch, desync, or lag.

I think in your case it’s most likely desync/rubberbanding of players (which is unfortunately very prominent at the moment), where they actually dodge on their screen and you land the stun on yours.
