Is there any chance to play New World with that bad internet? I can play League of Legend and Warframe with 60-70 ms. However in New World, I have 5000 ms when I log in. I turned off everything in the settings which needs internet and nothing runs in the background.
From 8 am to 11 pm my internet that bad. (you can see the speed test) But between 11 pm and 6 am I have around 4-5mb/s download speed and 40 ms in every game, in New World too.
My question is, can I do something to be able to play New World between 8 am and 11 pm when my internet is bad? Can I lower the game’s internet needs? Or Can I change something in the game files or something like that?
Please help me, I would be really happy, If I could play the game during the day not just only at night! I can’t play with my friends at night, when they are sleeping.
(this is the most expensive and strongest internet where I am living, so buy better internet is not an option, sadly)
Sorry to hear about the recurring lag problems with the game, sounds rough.
As @Rawxzee helpfully pointed out, if you’re playing on Wi-Fi, switching to a wired connection with a high performance cable could provide the boost you need. If it’s not available, then options available are limited.
Looking for more information I also found that in some cases muting chats on your feed they might contribute to lagging, so un-muting them may also help, though it’s a long shot.
Finally, you can try going to the settings and choosing between the bandwidth modes available in the game to see if any of the settings helps reduce the lag during the daytime.
Please try some of these and let me know if they help, I’ll also do a bit of research to see if I can find something else.
i can tell you i have upgraded from an old adsl connection with 20mbit to vdsl 500mbit + new router.

People lagged when i didnt and vice versa, i had freezed and crashed, when others didnt and vice versa.
Imho its all the servers, lately its stable more or less, but i play very less, cant motivate me, beeing solo and all others i know play other times or have very much different playstyle.
I am using a mobile wifi with cable, because there is no wired internet in this area. (“infinite” 4g, the most expensive one)
If I am for example at the edge of Reekwater in the middle of nowhere still 5000ms after a few seconds. (I tried steam file repair too, sometimes it can prevent 5000ms for about 2-3 minutes. But that could be just coincidence.
I have a Telenor mobile wifi with “infinite 4g” (the most expensive and strongest one)
My chat is muted because I thought it can lower the internet needs. So you are saying, if I unmute chat it needs less internet? Strange
The bandwidth setting was the first, when I first time started the game.
I dont understand, when I play for example Warframe and sometimes 20+ players are around me, the game doesn’t lag at all, stable 60-70ms. But in the New World in the middle of nowhere the game needs that much internet?
I can’t play with my friends at night, when they are sleeping.
