The musket has a passive skill that gives the player a 10% movement speed increase over 3 seconds every time they dodge, with light armour, that makes them effectively unkillable,.
A melee specced player has no reasonable chance to engage with a musket player outside of hoping for an ambush, and even if successful, the musket can disengage with the dodge and outrun you, only to turn around and fire at you and keep this going till they either get bored, or you die.
It makes no logical sense that a player interaction can be so one-sided as to be completely unwinnable if you happen to be on the wrong side of the rock-paper-scissor rollout. I understand the ranged classes’ need for increased mobility and speed, but when granted at the passive level and a with VERY limited resource management concern, it reaches the point of the near-free win in 1v1 situations. I find it unreasonable that my choice of weapon denies me the opportunity to counter a given player with a given weapon in a meaningful way.
