While it’s not hard to heavy attack in this game, you literally hold down M1, I’ve found that it is a bit hard at times to throw a heavy attack in the fastest time possible. Sometimes, it is more beneficial to throw an uncharged heavy attack, but with some weapons, like the greataxe, or the spear, this is harder to pull off, and often times leads your character to just light attack instead.
There are a lot of reasons why an individual key bind would help reduce the frustration that is spamming left click to light attack and watching your character slow down his attack chain because the game thinks you’re trying to heavy attack when all you want to do is murder another man with your hatchet.
One of the easiest pro’s of this change would be that the utility from heavy attacks that some weapons have would be able to be taken advantage of more often, not only in PvE, but also PvP.
