Perhaps we advocates of the hippos have missed something in making our voices heard. Perhaps the AGS team have an irrational fear of the Hippo. Perhaps they fear the inclusion of hippos would be so wildly popular that they would no longer be able to appear as humans on the monthly Dev Chats and instead would be replaced by animated Hippo avatars instead.
I think that maybe we need to re-assure them that we will not let hippomania replace all that they truly hold dear.

Have you not enjoyed Steve Irwin growing up or as an adult?! I feel like he would be a great inspiration. I suppose we could get someone from another nationality though. All for different approaches such as choosing to go with the hippos place of origin of that’s your preference?

At a minimum, if we can’t see Hippos as a normal creature in the game, you would think a special event boss as a Hippo would at least be possible. Who wouldn’t vote for a Hippo boss over a Turkey boss? I mean really.

No hippos on the roadmap today. Alas, could be a hidden update but given the clear intensity of this update it would take to multiple lines on the roadmap. Here is to hoping for Fall/Winter.

Remember, they said the roadmap are just some of the items they are working on, not all of them. Perhaps they are concerned that the mention of the hippos would create too much pressure and demand from the community?

In the latest Youtube vid, they talk about how they have different teams working on different types of content. They also mentioned they added more people for 2023. Could it be Team Hippo?
That is what I am thinking, perhaps the reason we are not getting a PVP mode is because they have dedicated so many resources to this, which I find COMPLETELY AND UNAPOLOGETICALLY JUSTIFIABLE. I tend to think of the greater good though.

I would like to see the Hippo appear 4 times the size of the Yeti and Turkulon and it actually destroys anything it walks over, thus altering the game map
