at this point I hope they add hippos so I can murder hobo them and leave their carcasses littered around for the gators.

Jesus Christ imagine seeing that in-game coming at you in the distance as you slowly wade through the water, kinda in that awkward position where you are standing on a flint just to be above water, but the shore is pretty far in all directions!

One thing I’ve really thought about in detail recently is the direct causal relationship between the population count in this game and not having hippos.
Everyone joined the game. But! We didn’t have hippos therefore we went from nearly a million concurrent players to like 30k. Brimstone is hyped. Brimstone has Oasises which could theoretically be home for hippos. We see resurgence up to and including Brimstone release. Over 100k concurrent players. But! We see it drop again to 30k.
The only possible explanation is that the lack of hippos is driving this complex player behavior.
We need to brainstorm better ways to get this across to the dev team and increase the priority of hippos on development.

It’s funny. Last week I was on the phone with Peter Parker and he was giving me the same theory about New World losing its player population because you couldn’t find a single hairy spider in the game…

I’m Coming from Future there is 2025 and AGS finally add Hippos to game.
But they add only 1 variant which is reskin of Alligator.
