As the title says, I would like the development team to kindly consider reusing the Outpost Rush tech to create a new kind of event that mimics Invasions.
The reason for this is that Invasions are an awesome and unique opportunity to gather together a lot of players to cooperate in an spectacular PvE event, with nice rewards, and nice fun.
However, Invasions do have consequences on the faction war, like the degrading of the crafting stations, which lead ruling companies to only pick a curated selection of players (by kicking) who can coordinate thru tools external to the game like Discord, ultimately removing the chance for most players to take part in this form of content.
What I propose is that people can queue for a Outpost Invasion event (just like they do for Outpost Rush) where a smaller number of players (15-30) cooperate to defend one or two outposts in an environment similar to the Outpost Rush island (or an instanced version of the unaligned territories near Shattered Mountain), from waves upon waves of Corruption forces.
The reward could be similar to Outpost Rush.
In the same sense that Outpost Rush is like a small scale, instant-fun, no consequences mini-War, Outpost Invasion could be a small scale, instant-fun, no consequences, mini-Invasion.
Something that would reuse tech already developed for other parts of the game, that would entertain players at level cap, that would allow them to take part on bigger PvE events that don’t harbor any sort of “elitism”, and that can ultimately keep the player engaged with the game for longer time.
What do you think, people?
