Please allow the game to launch without Steam

Steam launcher has touch and go connection issues, would be great if the game could be launched directly rather than joint to the hip with Steam

the game uses steam login to get you into the game it literally cannot be played without steam.
I almost never have steam connection issues get better internet

Fix your connection issues first. Steam doesn’t have any “touch and go connection issues”.

Have no issues connecting to anything else or streaming video.

Specifically with Newworld and steam I get “could not connect” when everything else does and takes multiple tries to get in

Do you even know anything about networking? I’m not trying to be a jerk here, but… you “sound” like my grandma trying to figure out an iphone. I swear I’m not trying to be offensive. I would highly recommend if you’re having technical problems that you provide more information so that people can properly assess the issue. I would bet my entire life savings the problem is on your end.

Considering dozens are having connection problems with New World, and hopefully any connection issues where already troubleshooted through restarting PC, internet etc. This game is incredibly rough around the edges.

No I don’t and users shouldn’t have to. You sound like bad tech support where you tell the customer it works on your machine. Unfortunately, you aren’t shipping your machine.

Its an ask for the game to allow launching without steam. It’s called choice

Users should be expected to have the basic fundamentals down so you aren’t asking people inane questions that my five year old could problem solve with his iPad. So yes, there is the expectation for Users to be somewhat informed. It’s becoming readily apparent that simply aren’t equipped with the bare minimum to address your issue, so I dunno what to tell you my guy. Good luck.

First, It’s not a question for help. It’s a request to be able to launch separately from steam. Maybe your 5 year old son can tell you the difference.

Two, that ipad reference you made? Apple is all about making user experience simple so anyone can use it out of the box without networking knowledge.

I also want to play New world without cancer services like steam. I dont need steam and it constantly mess up my gamepad configuration. What is the point Amazon to force us to use this steam trash.

…I do not see steam launcher as touch and go. it works. however I would like to play the game without steam also. No reason other than Idont want to run steam. It is about choice. And flaming for asking for a differant option. Gawd how small are you. many games on steam that I haveI have found a stand alone version Or a work around to NOT USE Steam… It is a legit thing to ask about stop being a defeatist looser putting down the question so readily. LOADS of people rather not use steam for various reasons.

I would like to be able to launch New World w/o Steam for the reason that New World utilizes so many resources, that it’s difficult to run much else, e. g. browser, OBS, etc. Being forced to have Steam running just to play the game is a pain.

Despite that an Amazon account and a player’s Steam account can be connected- I suspect that part of the problem with this type of ‘separation’ is going to be that the ingame CashShop is also tied to Valve’s services, and Steam. The shop can’t be accessed for re-loading currency without the Steam Ingame Overlay enabled, e.g.
