It’s very common when I’m running portals that I don’t get a chest from a portal even though I’m there fighting. It’s most common with portals like the tentacle and the veil which are destroyed very quickly so apparently there is not always enough time for me to do enough damage to get credit to get a chest. And this is with me having bane weapons, coatings, stone and bane trophies. I see a lot of people complaining about this in chat as we do the portals together.
Given it’s the only way to get corrupted shards (slivers etc) to make orbs it needs to be balanced so we always get a chest if we are there fighting. If I run all the portals in Ebonscale it takes 30-45 min and even if I get all the chests I will only be able to make 1 corrupted loadstone (if that) and it take 2 corrupted loadstone for Genisis orbs and 3 for Laz so it’s very time consuming to get these shards to make orbs. You can’t buy shards so you have to run portals to get them.
Please lower the damage required to get a chest drop on portals. Increasing the portal HP (to give people more time to do damage) will just make a long process take longer. Even better, increase the shard (sliver etc) drop rate in the chests. You basically have to run 2 hours of portals to get enough shards to make one Dungeon orb and that is very time consuming to make your 4 (total) weekly Gen/Laz orbs.
