A lot of player wear medium/heavy armor its seems that light armor its really unbalanced and does not give 20% damage on pvp
I feel like it would’ve made more sense to have some kind of trade-off defensive stat system. Like light armor should have high elemental armor but low physical. and heavy should have low elemental but high physical
As a healer, I agree that light armor (armour) is broken in PVP - even high level PVE players rarely have light armor due to one shots.
Something isn’t right.
My first thought was to give it a better dodge or speed increase, but that just breaks pvp a lot.
Second thought was to increase bonus healing / damage, but again probably breaks PVP a bit, and even if it didn’t, once you’re dead you dont do any damage and boss cleaves aren’t fun.
The other would be to do away with light / medium / heavy all together. Make it stat / set based and with a close armor mitigation for all types, exception tank gear ofc.
The general problem seems to be that in light armor you can’t survive, both pvp or pve …
That or incorporate the armor mitigation into the weapons themselves even more… this would force respects. OR, make it so people of certain weapons can’t use heavy armor - but then you’re back to a class system – which i doubt people would go for.

What light armor needs is higher elemental resist + armor penetration. Heavy armor needs to have higher physical lower elemental resist, medium would be in-between the 2 options.
