the constant posting up of people playing music in settlements near ANYWHERE the press E button function is needed is purely out of control and a complete annoyance. PLEASE do something about this.
if you want to allow people to play music in settlements please set a designated zone where music is playable allowing people to tip of their own free will.
They should add an town square with a stage where players can play there music.
Town square should be on the other end of the town and not where the crafting section is and players can only have there performance there.
For those who like music part of the game can go there and listen.

EXACTLY! This would allow players who were looking to pick up a buff a designated area to go spectate, request a specif buff & tip to get it without annoying the entire settlement.
I have all the secondary sounds turned off for music yet still constantly hear the clapping. Its quite an annoyance and the only people who would disagree are the people posting up in the towns annoying everyone.
So the complaint is - You cant use the interact button because it is forcing you to tip the player?
Nothing forces you to tip.
Or, you know, anyone who disagrees with you and doesn’t find the performance stuff at all annoying.

also battle zones. if there is fighting near by make it so you can’t do music.
at least get rid of the freaking ui. or let us disable it. I don’t want to see the music in the middle of the screen when i’m doing stuff
This whole music UI showing on my screen (when some wannabe “maestro” is near) is most annoying crap in game for me right now.
you do know its giving you extra stats for a hour if you play music ?
like gathering luck, gathering speed, dexterity, region bonuses and all that.
They just need to make it not so obnoxious. They need to remove the song title and difficulty from the display for anyone who isn’t playing the song, and the tip timer should only appear if you are within the inner circle of the player playing the music, basically if you are a foot away from them, you are given the option to tip. They should also remove the huge white circle from view. The performance zone is way too large.
I don’t care about those and don’t wont this crap showing on my screen. Give me option to completely disable it.

Music in towns is annoying due to the massive white circle being splashed everywhere. It just ruins the aesthetics and there’s no getting away from it. Not to mention the UI stuff you are forced to see whether you want to or not.
Same! Turned off sound from music but all time hear clap clap… so annoying

I hope when Brimstone comes out, will include option to fully disable music UI from showing on screen.
go back and check your settings. I had turned off all music from others & secondary previously. I have been hearing the clapping all the time and rechecked my settings to find that the muting of secondary music sounds had now reset. I turned it off and no longer have to hear the clapping.
