Bots is ruining this game, and AGS needs to do something about it, I was farming Iron, and I had two bots on the route, then I decided to farm some motes, and I found three bots doing THE EXACT ROUTE, AGS needs to do something ASAP. This is killing the market because everything they sell has a low price, another thing I understand that RMT is part of MMOs, but anyone buying gold, is financing this bot industry. And it is INCREDIBLY EASY to go undetected, just one simple google search will result in a couple of methods that AGS canāt detect but a simple, smart query after a couple of reports would fix the issue. And you guys need to make this change ASAP because if you do not ban these accounts, fast enough, Iām sure it is profitable just to sell gold and buy another account.
Just F**** ban anyone that benefites from this gold, like the player who trade or some seller who sold something to expensive in ther market to ācleanā this gold.
Just look at this example, the person had the courage to buy 3 new accounts just to farm and probably sell gold, he knows that the ban will come to late and the gold will be sold and he will have money to buy another account.
You can see in the video that I asked(in Portuguese) who the owner is, and someone said, "they were not banned yet ?

Weāve been working hard on identifying bots and have banned over 9000 since launch. Why do you insist on repeating this bold face lie??? NO you have not banned 9000 bots. Youāve banned very few bots. The only thing you do reliably is ban the idiots that spam general chat for RMT sites! Stop repeating this disgusting LIE about banning 9000 bots. Your automated systems are horribly ineffective! Your team thatās tasked with dealing with bot reports is stupidly lethargic! Your complete bot strategy is completely ineffective! The ONLY way to deal with these bots is to finally start enforcing your TOS and removing accounts of gold BUYERS! Until that happens absolutely everything you do is a complete waste of time!
@MinerTarv please, I need to know if is only the bot account that is banned or all related accounts? because now, banning only the accounts with RMT in place, there is no way this bot issue is going anywhere. and the region transfer sparked a new idea because people can purchase gold in servers with a weaker currency(like BRL) and sell it for USD or EUR.
I do not for a minute believe that ANY of the bot reports are reviewed. I have reported the same bots daily for weeks at a time with no action.
We were told a while ago that AGS was going to increase their in game GM presence and that we would see them with GM tags as they investigated reports. I do not know anyone that has ever seen a GM in game.
Iāve never seen a GM either now that I think of it. Seen lots of bots and lots of accounts obviously owned by RMT sites that run 24/7 staffed by real people that are surely extremely low paid.
Please join the fight. The only way the bot problem is ever solved is when AGS starts enforcing their TOS that clearly states buying game currency from external sites is prohibited. And they start removing gold buyers. Nothing else that they do will be effective. Their team that is supposedly tasked with dealing with bot reports is grossly lethargic. Their automated systems are literally laughed at by scripters and easily defeated. Only one action will work to rid New World of the bot/rmt problem. And that action is permanent removal of gold buyersā accounts.
I will admit that I may have inadvertently benefited from someone buying gold.
I started a new character on a new server and a few days in had someone run up to me and trade me 17 asmodium thanking me for using a gold buying site.
I did not feel the need to tell them that they traded with the wrong person.
Why didnāt you report the guy? I know thatās a silly question per se as our reports are more than likely sent directly to spam/trash foldersā¦but still. Geesh.
