Very true. Infact NW is severely limited in what is capable in complexity due to it being action combat.
With skills having to be aimed and also ping and lag to consider.
Just look at lifestaff. They eventually gave up and just made it a tab target and aoe weapon lol.
Tab target is superior to action combat in a pvp sense because it can offer far more complex and interesting systems that require way higher skill than just mechanical aiming

GA/GS is what you’re looking for:
Perma 20% bloodlust haste within 15meters of looking at someone
Charge - gap closer + Damage
Reap - CC that also has decent range
Gravity Well - w/ perk lets you deal twice the damage and get healed for X% of the damage done by the ability and also roots targets directly hit?
The weapon is literally perfect for being either an assassin or a bruiser (mauler side with Maelstrom)

I’ve been playing melee more often and I’m having absolutely 0 issues hunting down dex / musket campers. That goes without saying, I’m actually playing the game and playing it smart, not some ooga booga braindead left click spamming W-key holding, iframe-hating player that refuses to press shift and just runs in a straight line while typing “Nerf Dex” / “Hitscan should be removed”

No shot he couldn’t, Musket/Rapier has less mobility than Hatchet + GS / GS + GA
The past 3 months has plagued the Community with an exploit bug that means nobody knows if these weapons are actually OP even the hatchet had an Attack speed bug.
Without these Exploits bow and Musket is actually not even top 5 for Damage.
We know nobody knows shit because Rapier is currently 2nd Highest in burst damage output yet isn’t a weapon you’re calling for a nerf for.
And why call for a nerf why not call for a Buff for the other weapons since nobody wants either Bow or Mages in PvE coz they’re worthless.
I see no tracers in the first video, the only full animation is the last shot and I can only see the smoke near the barrel, no bullet trail.
This game will never be balcned as long as there is a weapon damage bonus for a armor weight. armor should be only tied to mobilty and defense.
Movemnet speed, passive fortify, and passive bonus damage must be addressed for any sort of balcne to happen.
how are the devs not looking at the stale war META. WH and GA need adjusgments as well but hey lets keep the same CC cirlce jerk gong right?
ALSO justfront the dev post along i can tell they are attemping to balcne the gamebased on OPR. OPR HAS BONUS DAMAGE BUFFS, plus ortal empoerment is in the game. howcan you attepm to balnce any based onthe opr enviroenment it throw so far out of base weapon perfromance when you add in the buffs.

Very easily could have, with the rapier riposte and also their escape skill (that spinning one) paired with actually effective dodge rolls and awareness lol. Not sure if you can use that braindead as an example.
I have less escapes as bow/spear and can get away from light GS pretty easily.
Some of the nerf hippies just want weapons to be homogenized to be all the same except using different skins…
GA/WH has been the meta build for the entire lifespan of the game. All wars are exactly the same and have been the entire time, only looking different when exploits are found for other weapons lol.

Outside Of Musket In PvP I Find The Weapons To Be Balanced And It Entirely Comes Down To A Battle Of Skill.

Rapier riposte? You do realize you can left click a riposte and dodge immediately after to waste it right? This makes riposte completely useless against anyone with half a braincell.
Well in that case, you were being chased by a monkey GS not a proper one.
GA/GS (Charge and Relentless rush can both gap close) all they need to do is effectively stamlock you or force your dodges while also having access to 150 dex (as a GA/GS) which means they have the same amount of dodges that Dex players have and is effectively considered a “Light Dex Assassin” class. Imagine having AoE abilities and single-target kill potential paired with unmatched mobility along with the capacity to run 200 con? This class has got it all!
Don’t worry, ags knows already. They are going forward with it, because they saw that data shows it.
These ppl are the same ones who were thinking that territory changes did not happen and when ags started addressing they got desperate and start spreading lies too.

The problem is some builds have high damage, mobility and cc. Light armor fits into this category and benefits from shirking fort as well, making it somewhat tanky.
Heavy armor for instance, has low dmg, no mobility and cc. “Ah, but it has survivability” I hear you say…well, without mobility you are pretty much dead in this game, no matter how much armor you have. A light armor hatchet will win every time against a heavy armor hatchet
No one complained about hatchet in heavy armor, no one complained about bow or mages in heavy or medium armor. No one complained about most builds in medium armor. Because almost every weapon is better with light armor since you get damage and mobility. All that weapon needs is some sort of cc or defenses, which almost every weapon has. And when you put a light armor build against a medium/heavy armor build, there’s little to no competition
They can’t balance weapons around armor and they never will. The same applies to wars, arena and OPR. You can’t balance weapons in all of them
