So i have no ide if this is true or not, but i heard some rumors about increase server cap. Personally i think that is a terrible ide and maby the worst ide of em all when it comes to fixing the “server issue”
Servers are already full enough and trying to harvest/mine anything in a full server with 2000 players feels like a pain. And no one like sitting in a queue.
If your fix for this problems is only to increase the server cap with 500-1000 players its just going to make it even worse and i can guarantee that you are going to loose customers (players) by doing that.
Even with the new zone its not going to help alot since most of the player base is already 60 and 2500+ players in that zone is not going to be a good experience for anyone no matter how big the zone is.
What you need (should) is make a few new servers and also make 1-2 fresh server that are transfer locked. This is going to give the player base options and you are going to get more players returning by doing that.
Please AGS, dont go for the easy fix. We love your game, dont make us suffer with queue on harvesting and kill stuff.
The reality is that at server population around 1500, which is below current cap, it’s already insufferable to try to gather anything - literally every spot, even at some ass end of the map, is camped.
true. and that makes situation where players starts trolling with pulling mobs, i even read about a company that started mass reported some dudes.
but it just makes for a bad experience. When patch hits live its going to be NW release all over where all lvl 60 runs to new zone and whant to kill the same mobs and harvest the same stuff. Increasing the server cap just increase the problem around all this.
think that only make the problem worse or the same. They need to make increased timer for each time a player harvest it. So other players can also have a chance to get some.
So if you harvest some silk it increases for you but not for other players. they can see and harvest it before you. That way more then just you get it or who pull most mobs and get lucky last click get to harvest it.
The solution is simple and has been done by many MMOS decades ago: add more servers to decrease individual server population, but group servers in regions and queuing for any PvP or PVE content draws from that pool. Additionally, market is also global to said region.
Make each character have their own respawn timers. Surely each node has a unique identifier, add that to a list of nodes mined tied to the character/account, if any given node is on the list it’s invisible/unminable until a certain amount of time.
