wow this is a really cryptic post, i don’t really get your point and I won’t answer every line of this just the most bold assumtions. All I can say is you are very wrong (I don’t want to say intentionally lying or making shit up) with most of those statements… if I even understand them correct.

the endzones are not full pvp. you are just wrong. the best engame? you obviously didn’t play it then!

do I get that right? you think outpost rush is a pvp zone? no it’s not, it’s an instanced battleground (that is not even unlocked in the game rn). btw how would a pvp battleground without pvp even work? that entire part is not just wrong just absolute nonsense.

there is nothing selfish about demanding pvp servers. the only selfish person is you. you are the one who wants to confine pvp players on your server to do your dirty work i.e. grind factionpoints and fight wars for you. that the main reason pveers get mad about even mentioning PvP Servers.

I don’t want to play with you! You want me to play on your servers to keep a system working (and at that point you are once correct) that wasn’t designed for PvE in the first place, in a game that also wasn’t designed for PvE in general. It just is because people like you complained to the manager

ok i really don’t understand what that is supposed to achieve? It’s just you being extremely toxic

So the only reason you don’t want those people to be able to transfer back again is because you want to see them suffer for being wrong?

that is by far the most sociopathic take I’ve seen here so far. wow dude, just wow. that is why I feel the PvE crowd is just an irational cesspool of extreme toxicity! gg dude

the better idea would be that people have to make new characters on pvp servers so they have to level their character in that environment only. that would be the only reasonable way to do it!

This game is not PvP enforcing. It was launched likeso. Adapt.

No Ofence, But i Dont need anything from pvp, its you who need from pve; like weapons, gear, amor, crafting etc etc etc.

I dont depend on people to do my work i can do it alone, if you ask me im probably more pvp capable then you not a fan boy just spaming selfish request here.

oh and outpost rush here it is from the new world guide

Outpost Rush is a large-scale 20 v 20 PvP (with some PvE thrown in) event available to level 60 players in New World. The game will sometimes pop into a 16 v 16, depending on the queue. Outpost Rush balances resource management, objective control, and building up their forts to withstand assaults from the enemy team.

New World: Outpost Rush Guide.

here the line: This mode makes up one of the core parts of endgame content in New World.

Rewards for the event come in the form of Outpost Rush cosmetics, and rare items, and armor.

You have in outpost 3 things on reqr qt once just pvp.

in pve you need to do literly 3 activities difrent and it cant get as rarity as that

oh and the most improtant par

you don’t need any specific crafting skills to be able to complete any resource gathering tasks in Outpost Rush, but it will still level up your skills.

as in you get free skill levels withount needing the skill level at all,

you selfish crybaby you can litelry just spam quest and go to outpost rush and get the highest materials.

what are you talking about its literly in the guide,

“you cryptic wrong irational cesspool of extreme toxicity” i say it from your own words, have a taste of your own medicine…

you depend on pve, and withuont it, you cant do pvp.

pvp server can never exist becuse you depend on pve.

its also wastefull of resources, very toxic ambient, always has been with pvp in any game.

and as a perosn said here its not sustainable.
and always end low pop.

see the video

Eve online and Albion online have been around for years, are hardcore and have not failed. The game just has to be made a little different to accommodate it.

You have to make the hardcore PVP zones separate from leveling zones and allow the game to function as an ecosystem as a whole, then PvP compliments the PvE. Gold sinks can be made, and the world in general feels more alive.

Outpost Rush is a seperate from pve, hardcode PvP mode.

First off I want to say I appreciate you having an argument based off of sources.

I will agree any game that is solely hardcore PvP is on the decline, but not many games actually do it well, and look at the activity score for the games listed. They survive on a dedicated player base. What I am not advocating is alienating PvE players. they are the literal lifeblood of MMOS, and far too many companies don’t realize that.

But having high risk options or zones will not do that if done properly. It will only serve to stabilize and increase the popularity of the game

OSRS is a hugely popular game the wilderness is mostly optional, its a small zone used for PvP. When RS removed PvP proper and trading in 2009 the game lost most of its playerbase. When they released oldschool, they thought it would only last 6 months, but its been so popular it makes more then all of Regular runescape, even without the extra 7 years of development at the time.

Having options is different then changing the entire game. With proper sinks caused by PvP, prices can be more stable, the game can be healthier overall, and folks have some exciting adrenaline inducing moments when they want it.

I see no reason for people thinking has PvP servers will do something to PvP in the game. Just transfer (when available) to the servers where people that love PvP is going. You gonna find good PvP in servers with a good PvP population, PvP servers will not help you, just will allow you to harass people off guard.

The servers literally don’t have the population cap available for proper open world PvP, im in a max pop pvp server and less then 10 percent of people flag. 2000 player cap = 200 folks through the entire game. it sound like a lot but when you consider your faction has 33 percent more of less of the player base, thats 140 people to actually fight over 10s of kilometers of game space.

This is not a fixable problem with flagging.

On top of that, every aspect of this game was designed with hardcore pvp in mind.
They might as well use it in some form.

I might not be reading your post correctly.
Could you please tell me which servers have players that love PVP?
Not so simple when you think about it.

And if there were PVP servers, it doesn’t mean players will get harassed. And even if they were. They literally chose a PVP server.

they should just add zones to the map that force pvp flag. make these zones have higher resource spawns/lower respawn times to incentivize players to go there.

there’s no real need for dedicated pvp servers. there just needs to be an actual reason to pvp.

at level 60 there’s no reason to flag besides the occasional random loot drop from players. which is a shame because I enjoy the pvp, but I don’t want to have to go to a dedicated pvp only server just to have it accessible.

some of us enjoy pvp but don’t want to always need to be flagged, I played the first half of the game always flagged, and there are points where you just need to turn it off because you can’t progress due to pvp griefers camping quest or other key locations.

having dedicated pvp servers will make finding pvp for those who don’t always want it much harder.

also outpost rush exists. if you want pvp then convince people on your server to play that.

The pvp encounters that we come across are some the best parts of this game. They seem so far and few between, because for so many reasons, what seems like ~75%+ of any server’s population decides it is not worth to play the game flagged for PvP. We can’t really blame the other players but we can blame Amazon for not properly incentivizing PvP in a game supposedly focused around it…

I agree with everything the OP has said, but the sad truth is they revamped 90% of the game to appeal to PVE players. Plus PVP servers have been asked numerous times. From PVP only servers to PVP only areas where you’d have to be flagged on. It’s been essentially ignored.

AGS has been consistent since the end of Alpha 1. They want to cater to PVE players and PVP will be secondary. Even wars are level gated.

Out Post Rush Is A Centivasion To Get Flag.

You can literly go at somone fort and try to take it and it will force them to get flaged to defend there teritory and fort.

You can also once enough influnce is active you can declare war and participte in huge scale pvp battles,

and if you win you get the teritory, bonuses taxes, evrything; and you would encorage even more people who had that teritory try again to take it back making them activate pvp.

there always atlest a good handfull of people flaged to do influence thing, and always on war it full of people.

menaing you can infinite loop pvp force on pve players inderectly.

tbh it cant get more hardcore then what i described above, and amazon already HAD to do the changes of the hardcore pvp becuse they were getting insane amount of negative feedback were talking abot 90% of the playerbase in beta grand amount like explained in a video, complain to amazon about the hardcore like in the beta.

and tbh it was huge amount of player base in witch this plahyer base decide if the mmo will die or not, meaning amazon had no option to to favor the majority especialy of the huge investment they did to the game.

and as such we pve’er ended with a defective crafting system and economy becuse of other certain things.

now, both amazon or the player cannot take the blame becuse nobody whant to be force to play pvp, and amazon as any developer d not whant to lose litelry more then half it playerbase witch is keeping the game running.

Wars are not level gated, out post rush are.

also there pasive pvp scailing ints not a power full guy wops your ass with one swing, i beated a level 58 player while i was level 42 and thats tremdous diferential in gear etc, plus he was doing quite the decent damage to me even thou my gear was heavy and was specified in physical, he had a medium amor.

and we were bost in very extrem risk in part of the duel.

meaning that esencialy what maters is skill and strategy on majorty of part, but againt 2 people you can somhow mahnage but againts 3 now the odds favor numbers.

thats how the game anounced and was reliesed.

as such a lot of thing were changed and balanced.

plus if you say cater to PVE players your compleatly wrong, the pve aspect of this game are bear minimum especially the skill witch is s basical that it bearly even exist, like people say this game has souless unevolving repetitive quest, including the main story line, the quest in pve arent dynamic and still and as many reviewers say it litelry basical.

the skill in crafting are so minimal and basical, and the bonuses you rechive for enchanting or perking amor are very minimal and very small insignificant effect then you will just replace in the next drop of a monster.

meaning the crafting system in this gamme take hundred of hours on one single thing to level up, and signifucant resources, yet the pvp only take doing bunch f ques maxing your level and outpost rush withount the hundred of hours needed in crafting.

if you ask me pretty much becuse how easy drops are the crafting system in this game is litelry not even existing tecnically ad pratically even not there for how excesivly basic it is and that influence negativly on the economy witch wasnt whant amazon anounce for use pve players.

esencially the player base that getting catter by amazon and were the major work is going is in pvp.

becuse pve is seriously dead basical and to some point souless, and as people say; a freaking walking simulator.

meaning that it terms of mechanical and technical, skill mater, and how easy it is to get gear making pvp player orientated compleatly out pace a pve players beyound hundred of hours faster especially on outpost rush witch is the core endgame content the best rare items.

i can say that the one whos being cattered is you pvp players especially when you can force pve player to flag pvp player by influence, wars etc and endgame loot with easy way of drop loot spamming and minimal effort withount crafting and better evrything.

if you ask me you may be disturbed by the pve in your pvp.

but compared to waht pve player who dedicate in crafting to sell you jewlery, endgame etc for a literal rediculous low price that you can easy pay becusr you did not have to go to the insane grind thats the crafting system and with meaningless rewards like board, plus if you win a war we end up paying taxes to you.

if you put at the end of the day you pvp players are litelry being pampered by both amazon and pve players, especialy when it comes to things in the market like jewlery, crafted especific amor and gathering tools, taxes, and you can imeadeatly make pve players flag for pvp by trying to get teritories and influence.

For the people who say it would take resources to balance PvE and PvP server rulesets. That is a possibility in the future but for right now all people want is a dedicated servers for open world PvP. All that takes is creating new server. Typing in code that is something like this:

Player joined faction=true; then PvP flag=on.

That’s it.

Down the road if they become more popular. It would be worth AGS possibly doing more than that.

Hell look at US East servers Valhalla (only server with queus still), Eden, Ys. Top 10 populations and all community designated PvP. That should tell you something.

I agree the servers should exist, but we have no idea how complicated that change actually is.

It seems easy, but without actually seeing the source code, we can’t say that it actually is that easy.
