Hello, I am from aarnivalkea, within the world group arkadia firma. I got the better end of the deal, and after merge, will be on orun with approximately 800 peak players. The other half of our world group will only be on a server with 570 players. This is completely unfair to both halves of our world group, please merge us into a server of 1370. I know my company of 67, and the only other yellow company of 12 would be more than okay to still be the minority faction on a high pop server, and would even prefer that over a balanced medium pop server. Being the underdogs on the server gives us a little more to play for in place of the lack luster content. It provides drive and solidarity. On an 800 pop server vs our 150, our low pop problems will still persist (stale market, the rich hoarding wealth so the economics are a little Whack due to the lack of gold generation, and lack of OPR). None of these problems will be solved and further more, we will now have cramped war + invasion rosters, crowded resources without a real spike in open world pvp, and small skirmishes over elite zones without any real benefit.
The bonus to being 1370 pop instead of 800 is that we would have a stable and consistent market, multiple opr queues, and sufficient open world pvp, outside of farming areas and elite zones. Additionally, people would be less inclined to transfer out of a 1370 pop server than an 800 or 570. I know my company is still talking about transferring post merge once people receive their aforementioned second round of transfer tokens. We’ve had 1200 peak before on aarnivalkea alone, and then it diminished to 800, 600, 400, and eventually 150. Yes the players sticking around are CURRENTLY more dedicated but I’m not sure how many we will lose due to the merge being lackluster.
By splitting our world group in two you’ve essentially given us another server death sentence. Please wake up, and don’t make this mistake. Please merge the entire world group. I know I can only speak for yellow on aarnivalkea, but I have seen the chat in global following the disappointing announcement which should have been a breath of fresh air for us.
Merge. The. Entire. World. Group.
