Please Help. PC Reboot at loading screen

Looking for technical input, I’ve read pages and pages of problems and solutions to this.

I load up the game and my PC reboots itself (not full power off, fans stay on but screen black and reloads windows.)

MSI B550 Gaming edge
Ryzen 5 5600x
32g ram 3600

I’ve tried 3 graphics cards, my 5700xt, a GTX 960 and my new 3060ti.

My GTX 960 was a last resort is able to load the game and play for hours being slammed at 100% useage the whole time on low settings at 30-40 FPS its not fun.

My other 2 cards will NOT boot the game.
Card and CPU temps are 100% fine, CPU is at 60 degrees and GPU never goes about 55-60.

Things I’ve tried.

  • Disable precision overdrive
  • Disable PCIE g4 (running in 3)
  • Update BIOS
  • Update all other software, chipset, drivers.
  • Windows Update
  • File repair (lol)
  • Undervolt CPU through bios to the point of my system even being unstable had to remove CMOS lol
  • Undervolt GPU via MSI
  • Turn advanced power settings down in control panel etc.

I’m pretty much positive it cant be my PSU, other games run and draw fine and the GTX 960 that works draws more power than my new 3060 TI (am i wrong?)

Really looking for guidance been dealing with this for a week now it’s a pain in the ass I just want to use my new hardware…

I did so much research on what I can do to fix it, and getting 2 blue screens today made me quit playing for good.
I’ve been playing every day since launch, and today was the worst

this sounds like it’s your Power Supply try changing it out

It’s a known issue. It’s not the power supply. I suggest just not playing until the game stops bricking people’s graphics cards

Yeah I don’t think you read my post. My older card draws 265 peak, my GTX3060TI draws 200 peak. I’m not spending $150 to change out my psu when every other game runs fine when maxing everything. That’s not the problem, nor the solution. PSU is 750w corsair for reference, barely 1 year old.

This video helped me figure out the problem that noone is addressing on here

But I still suggest just not playing until they fix it

sorry I just re-red it I didn’t see the part where you said it wasn’t your PSU my window wasn’t scaled to the right size so didn’t see it below your other message, my bad.

Use a fresh windows install and bios set to defaults for testing just to eliminate a lot of softwareblackmagic in one go. You don’t need to wipe your Windows use a spare ssd instead, Install windows on that, let it update all the way and install drivers, steam and nothing else. Copy over New World check if it runs.

Also try the other pci slot. Maybe that’s your issue.

Are they using the same Power Connectors? if not maybe a pin isnt good, Check those with a psu tester and/or mutlimeter. While at it look for burnmarks or other discolorisation.

To Jays Video. I think its better to lower the quality ingame until gpu usage is around 70-80% instead of lowering the powerlimit. In theory lowering the powerlimit is better, but as you see in jays video the cards tend to either not respect that or juggle the load around either over time or over components/rails.
