This is something Ive been dealing with since January and honestly Ive gotten accustomed to just logging off instead of dealing with it.

I just don’t know what is the reasoning of having 2 limiters for storage. Why can’t we go over 500? Is the game going to crash? It doesn’t make sense at all, just pick one or the other.
I understand database restrictions and things like that, but its time for a change.
Either increase the number of items we can carry to 1,000, or increase number of items in storage to 1,000, or preferably both.
I think they are using “off the shelf” AWS services, its not just about running the game but developing a service that they can sell to 3rd parties if you ask me.
This particular limitation is due to the db instances they are using I believe. One would suggest they design something a tad more flexible. Under the hood its like having a bank with 500 slots, each slot can old one item of X amount.
Most MMO’s have inventory limitations, they just do it in a weird way. I believe the db instances they use for the banking inventory (AWS of the self ) is the technical cause of the “issue”.
The farther we go down this road, the more I feel like this entire game was just a “beta test” of things like Twitch integration and their servers.
I really hope Im wrong.
I can understand the limitations when youre thinking about one million characters to database—
But were down to 20k, theres got to be a way this can be achieved.
Game was no where near ready for launch, needed another 12-18 months work.
If they continue with development they could end of with a pretty good MMO, but it will take alot more than has been done to date.
