Please learn how to play OPR

I keep forgetting how unruly servers can be if you don’t have people who initiate fights with the best players.

I literally try to fight everyone for a reference of their gear so i can build either tankier or more damage.

You try gambling?
I hope cm willard wont ban us for this but i mean putting bets on fights?
Or rolling for money in windward? Start at 2k.

Easy trust. Quick benefits.
I won’t name anyone that does it due to policy on spam. But it’s fun.

If you wanna help new players they can use the 500. If you feel bad you can always let them keep it and keep track with screen shots.

No one will agree to this.
Im sorry. People are way too selfish.

Tbe hired mercenaries from other guilds is usually other maxed players.

Not justifying it. It sucks

honestly better than nothing.
Try to be the comedic relief.

It sounds like you need a break from the toxicity my friend. Dont burn out okay?

Stop letting strangers dictate your fun.
You are the master of your destiny.

The people aside you shouldnt give up cause it’s bad. The game is broken. We still playing. So what have you gained from the experience? What pulls you in?

Let’s be honest.
Most the players will take months to ubderstand opr.

Maybe a year.
Some of the peeps i know have a learning disability.

I have adhd so it’s hard to a degree for everyone if we break it down to a base level. It’s just what they find fun. They find chaos fun. We got bored of that.

You and me. We got bored of chaos.

Now we want structured mauling.

We are ring leaders of a circus.
Get your monocle and top hat. Stop sitting in your fancy trailer. It’s time to perform.

Or i mean,
Your few current allies should be enough to get a party started.

I’ve posted this opinion before but I’ll do it again as the devs have asked for feedback.

After the alpha disaster where it showed that pure PVP was not viable Amazon said they aimed to make a game where PVP and PVE played along side each other as a team to succeed and on a good day OPR is a great example of this.

Yes OPR has problems and I’ll note them below but my main problem with OPR is the number of PVP players complaining that players are not playing it like a sudden death arena which it was not designed to be and in my opinion should not be. I do believe PVPers should be given the option of ladders, leader boards and arenas - but please stop changing OPR to placate the PVE haters as you’ll end up with is something no-one enjoys.

I enjoy OPR and sign up with friends almost every night - some of them are PVE biased like me and some are very PVP focussed and generally we have a blast when we have balanced teams and its an opportunity to play together and have fun. I do PVP whilst in OPR and enjoy it but know that I’m also a valued member of the team as we sort the team buffs, provide a defensible position (which at the end of the day gets most of the score in OPR) and provide a safe respawn. When the home base is secure I help to push forward to mid or defend home whilst they harass the enemy home base, defend mid and come and help on base if needed against a big zerg. Its generally not the few players trying to build the base that lose the game its the majority of the other players who supposedly are PVP players but they are not working as a team of pushing together they simply go off doing their own thing then whinge in chat about PVErs when they get immediately killed and lose.

For me the Jan patch changes for OPR are mainly negative and one more step in the wrong direction due to the vocal PVP only crowd - except increase brute cost which is fine.

Things needed to improve:

Improve lag
Sort star - you shouldn’t be able to climb walls
Give points for actively defending captured points - my score is often low as I stay near the home base to repel invaders and give warning if its about to be attacked which helps team keep the fort - but 0 points if harassers run away without dying
Give points for swapping point control
Give more points based on damage
Look at armour / gs modifiers - it should not be some players need a team of 5 or 6 to take down and takes forever and others are dead in 2 hits
Sort VG and IG - overpowered in OPR

TLDR: Provide arenas for pure PVP players - leave OPR mainly as is (minus bugs and lag) for PVP and PVE biased players to play together.

There’s a post earlier id like you to add this suggestion to. It’s linked by gm willard and about opr point distribution.

Would you mind post this here with how many points you feel should be given to securing pts?

Or maybe get pts for flagging an enemy and keeping him pinned?

Makes engagement more rewarding so snipers cant9 camp all game.

I just think root should be turned off in opr.
Too much running.

You’re playing against bots mostly. Just like in PVE, were playing with mostly bots.

Honestly?
You know bots sabotage games by stealing materials out if storage to upgrade base in random ways.

Like even if we dont have a camp there will be two repeaters or sum wild stuff mate. Drives me insane.

If home base is secure with atleast t2 camp , build a repeater idc. Walls are debatable against good teams but if It’s home base it helps in the beginning.

Mid game when they trynna kill brute for a counter play to put their own brute? It gets nutty.

Back to your point

Bots suck.
They need to stop gating rewards cause of afk. And how do we have a lag detector outside of opr but no bot detector?
Or if our game freezes from 20 ig spam we still get a penalty?

Bots and weird rules make the game hard.

Wont stop me from winning though. They are a distraction.

Outpost rush died with the latest patch

Why do you feel that way?

The 4 hour queue at outpost rush clearly hints at this. The new mandatory grind also suggests

EXCUSE ME? who dat?
Not my name .

Seems like a lot of people are disagreeing with you here. That should tell you something. You sound smart enough, im sure youll figure it out.

How did you use so many words and still say nothing?

you’re barking at a different tree, there is no point in having option to ban those item, AGS need
to balance their weapon, have a look at the current weapon meta and see if it overpowered.

again balancing on match finder, almost anyone who play in 4 man party will rush for PVP they aint gonna farm azoth etc, and most they do is gank around baron/ roam to kill. playing opr as soloq guy suck when your enemy consist 4 of good man equipped with healer etc.

imho remove farming mat/azoth for brute, add more poi like baron that needed to be contested, those doesnt need to be as severe as baron where the point is locked, perhaps can imitate LoL with their drake, which can give additional buff to the team.

opr is the closest to pvp content aside from war, you cant blame them for rushing to mid or to not understant the mechanic of the opr/ refuse to do so., who would want to farm in open world for your BIS equipment and to play in NW special pvpve crap just to farm summoner?? OPR suck, if it not because of gypsum, majority wont even que.

pvper dont enjoy opr as it has farmer which reduce zerg capabilities/ while normal opr enjoyer hate pvper since they always rush mid.

This guide seems bad. Ive won every OPR by just rushing mid with a 5 man that focuses targets then pushing their spawn. I havnt needed to care about any pve mechanics

So many tips…

Too bad OPR Qs are super long. Really wanted NW to work out, but meh.

I guess you aren’t as smart as I thought.

You still sound stupid.
Doubt it would matter. Goodluck on your manic behaviour.

Exactly why we should ban broken items from modes where rewards are gypsum unless you run the same bug risks as before.

It’s an mmo.
And they refuse to work together.

Yes i can blame them for poor comprehension because they choose to lose.

Ive had no problem getting people to join atleast 8 opr a day when im on.

Grinders like pvp content.
Dk what contibent youre referencing but statistically mmos have always been about grinding. You are fabricating nonsense.

This isnt a pvp exclusive.
Choosing to play it like it is a pvp exclusive game is exactly why you will lose 75% of matches.

It’s not fun. It’s illogical to think people losing all the time is having fun when you cant get rewards.

The team with best content comprehension wins.

The zergs for mid dont matter if home base is getting camped.

Ok, enjoy telling people how to play pve in a pvp mode.
