Please NERF mortal empowerment

It’s causing a lot of unintended side effects. Any ranged user can stay at ranged and essentially stay alive forever, which means a semi-permanent 30% damage buff. This has caused OPR’s to be even worse than before, because all of the ranged are way too scared to get anywhere close to the base, so it just ends up as a standoff the entire time, and it’s absolutely horrible. The devs said they don’t like the “one shot” metas, and muskets are currently 2 and 3 shotting people with this new perk. It’s way overtuned. If you capped it at 5 stacks total (for a total of a 10% damage buff) instead of 15 stacks total, it would still be an amazing perk, but would tone it down to a more manageable level for everyone. And it would increase the quality of OPR’s and wars as well.

But you know how hard is to get this 15 stacks? If u manage to get max 14%/7 stacks durning whole match is max.

It’s still obviously overtuned though. It’s a night and day difference in OPR and wars compared to before mortal empowerment. It needs tuning badly.

well it does count as empower, and so does some of bow’s passives and shooter instance, firestaff has infinite empower as well with meteor shower. So it wouldn’t make a difference to be honest. Let’s not forget about keenly empowered.

The way i see it it’s probably easier to add a limit to each class in outpost than nerfing stuff. It’s pretty obvius that the main reason people complain about ranged is because it’s WAAAAY overused, not overpowered.

I mean the best way would be to first of all generalising all empower being one buff and not this empower is instance 1 and second empower is instance 2 so they dont get calculated together.

Second thing would be every weapon would get a soft / hardcap of usefulness on empower. If you reach that thats it you cant get past that.
That would be easier to balance and healthier for the game than 30 booster buffs that may or may not stack together.

Just make it a melee weapon only perk much like headshots is a ranged only perk.

Could give ranged a different perk if needed or adjust it so if you don’t get a kill in x time it falls off. Something.

I could say the same thing, i mean you don’t even need to be smart in order to think about why theres alot of ranged players.

You just don’t need healers to play with it, does that make it overpowered? I mean :rofl: :rofl: i don’t know you tell me.

This along with mortal empowerment, buffed damage perks like attunement, the fact that you can split your damage, invalidating resistances, and that you can utilize all of this from far away.

Remember when opr was like 99% ga/wh? It was overused because it was overpowered. Range is the same way currently.

No one cares that you “can’t hold points” with ranged builds. Literally all anyone wants us to get their 3k points and pad as much as they can.

And while there is more melee in war, these are all very specific melee builds + only a small percentage of players actually even care since only they play it consistently.
