Please Nerf the Musket

Maybe they should bring back SNS + Hatchet one shot combo then tell those people who got one-shotted to just dodge as well.

you can’t dodge it in opr. I run in wild directions and dodge every dodge I have open they kill me in mid dodge. when you have three of them trained on you at once one is gonna hit you.

BUFF MUSKET PLEASE, Musket needs more damage. We must punish the whiners until they whine no more.

then dont run that way. Not my fault you take the open field route. OPRs last like 20 minutes, you can do some running.

5% actually. Slightly above 5% because we’re skewed more towards elemental.

Stacks don’t get awarded most the time, especially now because you don’t get a stack if they die from:
Attunement damage
Runeglass Dot Damage
Jagged Damage
Powder Burn Damage

Reduced by Elemental Aversion

I can assure you the nerf to light armor is extremely felt when you get hit by an SNS user or hatchet or GS user and they stick to you.

This would just make it bow but worse.

Musket max range is around 110m or so, not 200. 200 isn’t even render distance.

Maybe you should run a BB with exhaustive net shot and just go chase them.

yeah that’s not an option either. the muskets when spread out are able to cover all paths.

how about we don’t defend something that is clearly over tuned. there is no risk to playing the musket in it’s current meta. there should be high risk high reward. not high reward low risk.

why would you assume that I shouldn’t be able to dodge towards a musket and take them out with my hammer? I should be able to. that’s not possible.

Musket is completely fine in PvP because it’s underpowered in PvE.

It’s OP in War’s and OPR, they need to knock it down a few pegs in these instances and buff PvE aspects (most likely some aoe on the traps side) to make it more viable in those spaces

It is still a 5% damage buff with little to no consequence for muskets. Literally, any other class has to consider the defensive penalties for picking up Runeglass Gems such as bruisers, firestaffs, void gauntlets, etc.

Doesn’t matter, I don’t care if their stacks get taken by other damage sources (powder burn is crazy strong btw). They are able to achieve 15 stacks way easier than any other class in the game.

All facets of damage in this game can be reduced by certain perks, such as physical aversion for thrust, elemental aversion for fire/ice damage, resilience for crits, etc. Yes, you got me, some players will have elemental aversion to reduce elemental damage.

As it should be, a skitzo build that is created for the purpose of killing squishies should be able to kill a 50 con musket user. You have the escape from the rapier and the advantage of positioning to support your low con build. Hell, you even have the damage to kill a skitzo at close range. I can’t even fathom how a musket player is even able to survive a skitzo long enough to feel the light armor nerf.

Nah. An easy way to visualize the change is essentially within a certain range, the musket will still be “hitscan” (you’ll have to aim an inch ahead of the enemy, oh no!) but the bullet drop and travel time will increase significantly, or at least increase from that certain range.

It was an exaggeration.

I’m not building a whole set to become the musket terminator just to be bodied by bruisers and mages.

yeap, the only thing that is almost as bad is the IG, and that even has a use at times.

Don’t care about the PvE, it’s irrelevant to me. The musket wasn’t built with the intent to capture a point anyways. It’s to kill players and goddamn does it do its job.

Please man, no more PvE. I can’t stand to hit another mob.
