Please Participate in the PTR

I know there’s no “reason” to participate in the PTR aside from checking out the new content, but I urge everyone to set aside 30 minutes to really scout out some bugs and post them to the forums. I know it may not feel like it but reporting these issues really do help out and nobody wants a buggy launch.

Not looking to farm for 3 hours to test their things. Give me access to all I need to test, then i’ll test.

We really want to participate in the PTD, but the problem is that everything we complained about, all the bugs, all the errors, were totally ignored. Take as an example the update that came with the songs, all the bugs that were reported were in the release. I’m not even going to enter the PTR, I wait for the bugs when it launches.

just because they don’t change them right away doesn’t mean all feedback is useless.
they have changed lots of things because of feedback.

what do youy need to farm to test in the ptr? dont we start at lv 60 with 600 gs?

I hope not. Especially since this stage of the PTR is working on Early game revamp and greatsword.

Should give us a beginner, mid, and cap level choice. Like usual

It seems like many of you miss the mark when it comes to testing. I can see why more and more games come out broken or incomplete.

Good job creating what you hate!

I wish they would give us like a skillcape or something cool like a hat for participating in PTR - theres no incentives really.

For the first time I actually feel really excited to hit the PTR.

The changes they show in the Dev Video look awesome.

I feel nearly as excited as the first time I got to test the game!

Agreed even if people jump.on and only test what they care about its more eyes on the game before live more chances to catch bugs. Also having a look at how the game changes is good.

This makes sense. If we have more access to resources we will test it better.

On top of that if they include some kind of useless reward like furniture or title, more ppl will test.

One thing they can offer per stage is Crowns. Not really much, but it can add up. Especially if you do get seriously involved with the PTR. TImer and survey required to earn Crowns.

The positive is the developers would not have to worry about making something new for testers.

Free Crowns for MTX items would be a nice incentive and would not compromise the server economies.

That’s a fair form of payment for being test subjects.

Well there are some issues expecting players to test games these days, its time consuming, there is no incentive like free cosmetics or exp bonuses or something. And the simple concept the companies should be the ones doing most of the testing, its not our job we already spend our money, time is precious and this is an mmo people rather work on grinding then test.

Its just the facts, companies need to stop trying to outsource so much and do their jobs like the rest of us who bust our bottoms.

I plan to try PTR for the first time this month, but after reading all the bug reports submitted for the summer medley update (and seeing the numerous people post and link their posts from PTR feedback that wasn’t listened to or acted upon, then I can see why many are losing motivation…). Not to mention, couldn’t they provide some kind of ingame reward for every few hours you do on PTR? Unique skins/emotes even? Or minor gold/resources?

AGS hopefully learned from their medleyfaire mistake pushing the update out with all the bugs that the PTR testers reported…

nearly everything you submit for feedback will get reviewed/addressed AFTER October patch launches in rough state. This has been the pattern since long before launch.

The only hope is that PTR reveals something broken devs didn’t consider. All bugs will still likely be there :joy:

gonna join to see the EF, see u there

I will never participate in a PTR.

Why would I spend my time testing something for free while I can be making coin or having fun in the actual game. Every single second I spend in a PTR would make me feel like im falling behind or wasting my time.

PTR’s are excellent for finding bugs and dupes to abuse on the live version but im not about that so yeah, unless they give me something in return for my time invested its not happening, ever.

The people that do legit testing/reporting of bugs and waste your time in the PTR, I say thank you, its appreciated.

When they let us import our characters instead of open random boxes and test with trash gear on, sure.

When we can’t test with our actual characters, it makes testing endgame content or any content not comparable to live play, meaning any tuning or adjustment they do off of everyone in trash gear testing won’t be balanced on live.

Players need to be able to import their characters.

This is literally as easy as copying a row in a database into another database. Yes it really is that simple. When you pay for a transfer, that’s all they’re doing. One simple command.
So we know they can import our characters.
They just don’t want to.

Honestly feels like they don’t want us on the PTR to begin with, so until they want us to actually use the PTR, I’ll stay on live.

I am at the point that I do my dailies and bump my crafts. After that …

So I will be looking at it as making an alt for temp play. I do it on the live servers all the time… it is no different here. Especially cause this PTR build is all about the new low level experience.
